Very possible. I hope we can turn it around

I have no doubt we will. The hunger hasn't been lost, it's just the game plan isn't being executed because the buy in is not where it needs to be.

We played so safe vs Port after we were 5 goals up, it was almost as if they were content to save the game.

Can only hope they fix it starting this week, won't want to leave it much later...

A win here might just be the catalyst to kick start their confidence...

Bit early to know who is ready to come back, but if healthy I'd go

Out Cuners, Carroll, Kemp
In Boyd, Acres, McKay

Boyd Weitering Newman
Gov Young Saad

Cottrell Cripps Acres
Pitto Hewett Walsh

Elijah Charlie Fogarty
Motlop Harry Owies

Cerra Kennedy Cincotta Ollie, Martin
You snuck Martin in without another out.

How did you do that…😃

Rd 9 v Melbourne (only game this year)

4 kick, 2 handballs, 2 tackles, One goal and One calf injury

One calf injury could be an actual stat with this bloke.

But seriously, 2-3 games now in the 2s...need someone to lay a good tackle on their no4. Could be useful if he's ready.

A fit Martin makes us a lot better. No doubt.

Issue is now he struggles to get through games now even at VFL level. He isn't injured at the moment (hasn't been for over a month) but we are building him up as slow as we can. Hasn't even played a full VFL game

Now he didn't play last weekend at all (VFL bye). It's something like 12 weeks since he has played close to a full game. Really hasn't played much all year.

Based on this I'd be surprised if he plays this weekend

Our doomsday supporters...lol If you said take out TDK & Harry Acres Williams & cunners who play 5 mins along with a terrible run with injuries " all year " & still forth with really patchy form. I agree we lack big key position CHB to help Weiters out but there's still so much Quality out there & now is time to risk Martin now as we need that 3rd marking tall who competes & plays hard. Hoping to see Mckay, Acres, Martin & Boyd back this week & please someone pay attention to a Bloke named Pendlebury that towels us up every time. I'm backing Walsh & Chez to have big games. C'mon baggers let knock these bastards off !!!!!!

Spot on, people take a lean patch and now, they are back to questioning the capabilities of assistants of all things

It's not as if we have been spanked of late and adding some better players will go a long way

We do need to work on a couple of areas, but they aren't massive tweaks

I think its the mindset. Like I've been saying, we've been talking about squad mentality, perform your role... we had players doing that then made some really bad decisions at selection that went against that message.

From there, the mindset has shifted. Players lost trust in the squad mentality, perform your role... now players feel like they really need to stand out to remain in. Hence the more selfish play that we're seeing. Then to compound that, the players brought in are out of form and haven't regained it in a month. Just my opinion.

Got ahead of ourselves against the Giants.
Went away from basics, started 20 seconds before quarter time. Tried to play cute. Went away from high pressure.
It was compounded by team selection.

Big H and Blacres in at minimum and we already look a lot better structurally. Just win it Baggers.

If we lose this, we don't deserve to make it. That hunger, pressure and form is there somewhere, our best is good enough to beat anyone. Please find a way to turn it around Blues.

Acres out on top of Harry killed us. Acres is tall and tough, can take contested marks and drift forward for a goal.

Plus he gets his 25 touches a game.

Perhaps. I wasn't a fan of Owies being made sub against the Giants (he only kicked the one goal because he was selfless and passed to Fantasia on a couple of occasions), nor Hewett being subbed then dropped for Cerra. Owies was particularly upsetting as he was within his right to take a shot from 40m but decided to bring Fantasia into the game. It might have been a scheduled rotation as subtitute but doubtful.

He's also our designated big-body defensive side of stoppages. He can get the ball going our way and also hold up the opposition if they come out the front of the stoppage. Massive out for us.

Yep. There were many puzzling decisions made...

Giants and Dogs were not in great form, when we played them.

We might have played them into form, as the "perceived scalp" to them as #2 on the ladder....thats a more accurate statement

Dogs look as good as anyone right now after they beat us, and Giants look good again too.

Not sure if this means Port will smash the swans too.
