Was interested in Hore.

Who do we think he replaces in Melbourne's back 6? Surely Tomlinson is due to break into the team, and Smith was playing forward. Cover Rivers noting further up field? I just can't see it, qt least to start the season.

I was at ESS training ....in fact just got home

Caddy had a number of opponents, rarely was on McKay ....took a screamer of a mark, yes on McKay .....and was very prominent all session

He'll get early games IMO

You can see me, up the other end of the ground .....without the coffee, because the damn CAFE was CLOSED !!!!!

BOMBERBLITZ please fix this !
Caddy training the house down in a Jan match sim?

This truly is breaking news.

I'm thinking Billings was never an option
This. Hard to see him punishing out our regular mids. More likely to play high half-forward. At 260k there’s better money generators IMO.

No Shaun Sniff either.
Has gone @ 80 in his last 8 AFL games for Saints, better side in Melb think he goes 70+ minimum.
No mid time needed for him.

Like many players we get 2 looks before we have to commit to starting him.

What is the ideal number of rookies to start on field? I feel like the dream is 6. I've seen one or two teams with 5 but at the cost of the best premiums. I currently have 7.

Zero is the ideal,

The other answer is as many as you believe can reliably score 80+

Edit: Rookies determine structure as they are the best value of points per dollar in the game so if you can have 8 rookie priced picks who will perform pick 8 and get the best premiums

I'm trying to go with 6 who are rookie priced, including Coffield, Gibcus and Emmett. To get to that I have to run with Crouch, Guthrie and Amon in the mids, plus 3 cheapie MP's in Zilliams, Chapman and Billings (not sure on that one) So 13 'keepers' (until the main byes) and 3 MP's, meaning just 2 of the rookie scores would count over those early byes (in theory) but I'm also running with only 1 premo missing in those byes/round, so effectively 3 rookie scores to count in the best 18 rounds.

I did a bit of an exercise a while back on what the 3rd, 4th and 5th best rookie scores were in the corresponding rounds last year.

Rnd 2

McKenna 78
Ginbey 76
Bruce 74

Rnd 3

Brockman 89
JVR 89
(can't read my writing) McSomeone 82

Rnd 5

Roberts 93
McEntee 82
Phillips 74

Now you wouldn't have had all of those on the ground as some were playing their 1st games, but it's just an indication of how last years rookies performed. Could quite easily not be replicated this year at all.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that with 7 rookies you're likely (possibly) to get the 3 best scorers, depending on how many players are missing over those early byes and the 4th best scoring rookie won't be far behind.

Now he is away from the Suns he will be able to football and not Beachball
Wish there was more info available on the Sun’s draft picks, spending up on getting their academy players, they must rate them highly.
Obviously SC has reflected where they went in the draft by their price points.

Anyone got any info on those guys that they matched the bids for on draft day 2023!!

Walters will be a star, big strong and very agile for his size. Bullied the U18's. Tackles like a demon too. Dimma has fallen in love with him so expect him to play a lot this year, probably even round 1.

Read is the least likely to play imo. Few games late to ruin his price.

Rogers has an injury but will get games. Will start as a small forward so scoring probably not good enough.

Graham not spoken about as much but wouldn't be surprised if he gets a run, physically good already, looks like a 3rd year player.
