When i think of a rookie correct trade, I think of trading out an injured or dropped rookie for a bubble boy. Or trading out a rookie that just scores 20 or 30, for a low BE bubble boy.

This year, for the first time ever, might be faced with a dilemma of whether to "correct" a 60-65 average rookie for a 80-90 avg rookie...

Is that worth it? Rookies are still volatile, the 60-65 average rookie could end up making more money than the 80-90 avg rookie in the long run.

The "value" of a trade is a complete unknown these days with so many trades.

Ready to throw the towel in lol, not because my team is bad, but because I have no idea what to do, this season has absolutely bamboozled me.
I think your confusing yourself trying to plan next week's trades on top of this week's.
Concentrate on getting this week's low be bubble boys and leave yourself a decent bank and next week will take care of itself I reckon.

Yes the Round Zero Kent's premos and wookies go up in price this week..then cop a bye ....crazy.
The naming of teams best 23 and a sub to come out of that 23 ....crazy .

Coaches can flick and swap players with the extra trades ....but if get carnage like last year we'll need them.

With RD0, 40 trades and so many best 18 bye rounds - I actually think this year's SC game is definitely more complex and challenging - which makes it a lot more fun... as I hate it when we have too much team convergence

Vive la difference :D

I reckon teams are more similar than ever because of rd0.

So many rookies available will mean trades over the next few weeks will differ, which will help separate.

Bring back 20 trades...

I think big footy teams are similar but not sc teams in general. I spent some time yesterday looking at the top 10 ranked teams. Massive variance. Some very strange teams

They won't be top 10 for too long - especially the top team when GWS has their bye

Agreed

I was going into random top 1k teams and they are stacked with bye players

Unless they burning trades in those rounds they will slowly drop back to the pack
It's strange this year we won't really have any idea who picked the best starting team until r7.

They have seven R0 premos, which should make it a bit easier
17 premos and midpricers combined. Almost all top 10 teams are similar.
Say 3 premos out your relying on 4 rookies scores from the 8 rookies you select plus any loops of course. It seems to be a common theme in the high scoring opening round teams.

Yes
He got his possessions in defence.
Anyone who says he is a small forward didn't watch the game.
Here's his heatmap for those who can't be arsed to go find it:

I do look at that score though and there's quite a few things that jump out as massive anomalies: 7 tackles, 53% contested possessions, 5 intercepts, 3FF, 17 disposals (previous career-high of 10), very good DT:SC ratio (usually close to 1:1)...

Fantastic game but expect the conditions massively favoured him and 60s will be the absolute best you could hope for from him.

Doesn't make him any less of a great cash cow of course. Sexton, Cadman and Berry are quite a few outs next week though.

I'm probably only keeping him one week. He scores a 60 and I'm happy lol

This website is a gold mine for SCer's. In "Game Stats" they have the heat maps so you can see where his possessions were.

Crazy that this team is only 2-3 key players different to mine, yet scored 300 more points. It shows how much impact 1 or 2 decisions can make! It also gives me encouragement that I am not far off these guys.
The thing to remember is that no teams had the bye last weekend. So the teams that said f the byes did well. Let's see how it sits over the next few weeks.

Wow - what a starting team.
This team is so far in front of my team, even after my 3 trades this week.

Also, they are one trade ahead of most teams with R3 Naismith already
They can only stuff it up with really bad trading
