All very logical. You're in the same boat as me re: Serong, except I'm doing that with Heeney. Perhaps less justifiable because of the bye, but again, every competitive kent will have him and Naicos, so it's only Grundy that matters in that bye, and I have Jackson. 🤷‍♂️

If you had enough bank to do Martin -> Serong straight up, that's obviously the perfect solution. Can't be arsed to do the maths, but it looks close. Just a shame that Rozee is the only cheaper gun mid down to Steele without a bye (Treloar's injuries count as multiple byes). Billings I'm less sold on as a "must have", considering it's really only one game of data and you're not missing much by waiting.
Unfortunately I’m about 30-40k short of a straight swap from Martin to Serong.

Billings might not be a must have but he will go up 30k with a 66 and another 40k the week after

I want to keep him but if it's the only way to get Heeney in it makes sense, no?
I think with 40 trades the games definitely changed a little bit. Trading might still be the wrong call, but if you get it right, you could be getting a leg up on the people sticking with him

Sicily —> Houston
Gibcus —> Dean (moved to the bench for Howes)
Fisher —> Heeney

Wanted to turn Sicily into Ryan but was just short $$

What do we think of Charlie Dean, what is his JS like?
Thinking of trading him for Gibcus, don't have the funds for Mass and Dean on the bubble.

Interesting that quite a few ppl are trading out Wines. I was actually happy with his game, i felt like he did exactly what was written on the packet. Should average highish 90s from here and be a good stepping stone in 5 or 6 weeks to a Bont, Green, Serong.

Fischer on the other hand.....

Genuinely some absolute brilliant knee jerks in here. Spend months and months talking about the same players in here and then one bad score and you all running to the hills scared. TRADE TRADE TRADE.

Sitting on Martin and Fish over here for a week, its a marathon not a sprint peoples
This. Plus the strategy around avoiding round 0 players has been pathed with after one week. People bringing in GWS/GC premos - they have the bye literally next week!

Is Heeney a must have? Feel like when Mills, Parker, Adams come back his midfield time is gone
There are so few must haves in the forward line i feel like u have to get on Heeney early.

Could easily make a fool of all of us, as he has in the past, but to be fair he looked bloody good. Relieved i started him.

Really fun to watch when he is injury free and getting a good turn in the midfield.

If Heeney is dominating in the midfield, when Mills comes in Horse may well play him HB.

Parker is old and i expect him to play more HF.

Someone run some data on people that score 170 and their scores the following week...

I am just thinking on top of my head

Avg (above 170) = 186.8

Following Game = 124.4

61.6 average differential = Therefore I predict Serong to score 109.

I asssume someone can do a better data scrap than what I did lol.

In:
Billings
D'Ambrosio
Cadman

Out:
Fisher
Gibcus
Hustwaite

Went Fisher to Billings to free up the cash necessary to go from Gibcus to D'Ambrosio. Hustwaite to Cadman for a bit of cash generation (have the players to cover the GWS/GC bye).

Lazzaro, A. Reid, Young, and Martin on the chopping block going into next week.

Trading nic Martin is a mistake imho
So is keeping him.

492k and and nowhere close to being as good as a Sheezel/Houston/Sinclair.

40 trades and it was easy enough to build a side with 30 trades back in the day, move on and dont look back.

From what I have been reading, there is a not-small proportion of Pies fans that think he was awful this weekend and want him dropped… scoring potential looks low too.

Would avoid IMO

basically you are looking at Martin to Heeny or Flanders if you haven't got them this week, all other trades can wait another week. But ey if you want to go early, good luck to you, but seems silly to jump at one poor clanger filled score. Good luck to you
