Houston ain't worth that much, some posters on here posing pie in the sky value for him. He's a glorified HB, dime a dozen
carlton seems the perfect fit for him

silvagni, voss there and pick 12 is a bit low but they could chuck in owies or something on top

port might want north F1 but why would houston agree to it! he wont

its gonna be carlton

What utter tosh, a 2 time All Australian voted on by former AFL stars with one of the most damaging kicks in the league.

He's worth a reasonably high 1st round pick especially with 2 years to run on his contract and probably more.

Yes but not pick 2 (North F1)

Is this regarding Montgomery?

Yep

He will be a great get - no-nonsense and straight shooting type of guy.

Tactically smart but bit old school about him…. He will be pretty direct with feedback to the players

Young guys may not be use to his direct style

Have an actual rumour for this thread. Heard we have spoken to Parfitt's management. Apparently we like his fit with our desired age profile + versatility. Issue being list spots and would need to do a medical. First time I've heard any info from this fella but he would have known Brandan in his North Adelaide days.

Would make sense given our reported interest in the past and his SA connection. Don't hate the idea but would probably mean no Peatling if it happened.
We offered Parfitt a contract last time he was out of contract and he turned us down and signed a lesser deal with Geelong.

So he's been on our radar before, but I'm also if the opinion that if Geelong is delisting a player there's a good reason for that.

Still light years a better player than Murphy so if we pay out Murphy 's contract to sign Parfitt people would be pretty happy with that.

Should have also mentioned

Montgomery was Cumming backline coach at GWS, and he’s a big wrap for Cumming’s as a player

I really like the way they defend. Their backmen know when to leave their player and attack the ball/contest.

Would love to see more of this from Max/Worrell in particular.

Called the best defence in the league by many

Would love to have Montgomery as a mentor to Hombsch, in that regard

So what happens when he’s restricted and not unrestricted? Do we have to still trade?
No he’s not a free agent, just out of contract. If he wants to leave GWS he can, the new club then needs to agree on a trade with GWS. In the rare occupancy clubs can’t agree, he can put himself in the pre season draft.

That’s Peatling btw, Cummings is an unrestricted free agent, so we don’t need to trade.

No ....that's why we chased them

Did you put any thought into the post ....don't answer that
They can replace Brodie Smith

Or play alongside Brodie Smith

Our coaches' choice, and which is the question being asked.
