Yeah but nearly all the early picks are gone or playing ressies.

Gallucci, Ned, Jones, Lever, Hamill, Pedlar, McAsey,
Hamill wasnt really an early pick like the others.

First 3 were undoubtedly misses, as is Fish for a variety of reasons. Would have loved Young even over Serong at that pick.

Still time for Pedlar and he's shown he's upto the level, but its an important year for him to keep his body right and start to contribute at a more consistent level.

Lever is an AA and Premiership player, that one isnt on Hamish like the others are.

They’d be crazy not to. But that means they won’t be getting a first round draft pick now either. And they’ve got to give GC something for Luko.
They'll be able to count JHF as a first round pick and trade next years, keep Houston.

You just need to hear him speak to know he has no business being in the football department, that he's actually head of.
Actually we’ve had him up here as guest speaker for pre match functions a few times now, and I certainly don’t get that impression.

Guest speaker in front of adoring fans is a bit different to being questioned live on radio and crumbling.

He needs to **** off.

I'm pretty sure it's the name of the Hairdressers in Balwyn.
Oh well that's totally appropriate for the Geelong boys to get their headbands and blonde tips looking just right for game day.

I've never seen so many headbands.

Bailey Smith probably has selected himself given he will be a natural fit amongst them.

I can always infuriate the locals by suggesting the headband is a nod to tradition at Geelong. It's the strap from the "handbag".

Gotta have some fun when you live behind enemy lines...

We will land Peating, but won't be done there.

I expect some information to come through about our coaching department, a shake up coming.

Are you just hanging off that RedHorse thing or are you related? Either way, I like what you're saying, even if it turns out to not be true.

Who cares ? Better still how can they do that and get luko when they will need a 1st to satisfy gc ?

Don't get excited.

The AFL will absolutely tick off the trading of Powers future first if need be. As we know the AFL like to create rules and then just ignore them fully.

Power will argue that they have traded for a pick 1 in the previous years (JHF) and Luko is a former pick two also which again will argue that they have "used" first round picks.

Perryman to the Pies would lead you to believe Port will hold Houston right?
Seems likely to me. They're desperate to get into the first round of this year's draft, but not sure if they're desperate enough to give up Houston to do it without any significant experience coming in to replace him. As desperate as they are to get into the first round, everybody else is desperate to stay in it.

Must be kicking themselves for trading out this year's 1st last year in order to land Soldo (who is now on his way out 12 months later) and Ratugolea.

So if...and it is a big if....we get Cumming, ANB, Peatling, Pick 4 (Draper), Welsh and perhaps a developmental ruck, plus Wright and Borlace off-field, can we agree it is a decent trade period ;)
It would be our best off-season in years. It's already looking ok from a player acquisition perspective (Cumming, ANB, #4 and Welsh) but adding those off-field personnel would be huge. I don't want to get my hopes up too much though.
