I mean, GC will still have Rat on their list next year, I’m not sure they see it as a list luxury. Maybe a positional luxuryRosas? Yes please!
Imagine if we had the luxury to be trading away players like Rosas!

Serously ?? Surely that deal finished this year ??? That feels like a lifetime ago.I mean, GC will still have Rat on their list next year, I’m not sure they see it as a list luxury. Maybe a positional luxury
Heard from a reliable source Smith’s trigger was 12 games this year and I posted it .Maybe I don’t need to if they have been brought up many times!
Not spudding it up?
Did you even watch the start of the year (you’re certainly excused if you didn’t due to how we played)
He was bad enough to the point he apologized to the group for how bad he was and then he still got picked.
Was it BACCS that said he has prearranged family to go to Perth for his 250th which boxed us in to picking him?
C'mon Froggy, that was weeks ago. Let's not dredge up ancient history.Should we go through the list of more recent times?
Let’s start with getting smith to his trigger and dropping him for the rest of the year.
Surely list management simply says to Nicks this year, smith has a trigger for 12 games, his form isn’t great so it’s easy to drop him anyway, please don’t play him more than 12 games otherwise he automatically gets a contract next year and it hamstrings us a bit with what we can do next year.Heard from a reliable source Smith’s trigger was 12 games this year and posted it .
Was absolutely eased to it for sure.
Or making Oscar Ryan the travelling emergency instead of giving him a debut.C'mon Froggy, that was weeks ago. Let's not dredge up ancient history.
How about playing Zac Taylor as sub for two games in a row in Rounds 22 and 23?
TrueOr making Oscar Ryan the travelling emergency instead of giving him a debut.
But look what we did for Sloaney! Can’t shaft Smithers five minutes later!Surely list management simply says to Nicks this year, smith has a trigger for 12 games, his form isn’t great so it’s easy to drop him anyway, please don’t play him more than 12 games otherwise he automatically gets a contract next year and it hamstrings us a bit with what we can do next year.
Subbing curtin off in his debut when his family has flown over to see himOr making Oscar Ryan the travelling emergency instead of giving him a debut.
Frankly, that's all you doI'm not criticising the club, I'm saying that posters who said they'd be happy to give up pick 4 (or more) for Pickett are crazy.
The club avoiding chances to take midfielders with high picks is well documented though
In hindsight, knowing what flogs they became, no. But if we hadn't known that, they would have been our flogs. You seriously wouldn’t have wanted Chad and Kane?????
You could try it sometime.Frankly, that's all you do
You do know ....they're simply issue's you have around selection ....which every supporter varies onSubbing curtin off in his debut when his family has flown over to see him
Debuting worrell in ****ing cairns.
Seems an easy out doesn’t it.Surely list management simply says to Nicks this year, smith has a trigger for 12 games, his form isn’t great so it’s easy to drop him anyway, please don’t play him more than 12 games otherwise he automatically gets a contract next year and it hamstrings us a bit with what we can do next year.
So nothing that concerns us
Your heart’s in the right placeKozi to Freo
Cox to Adelaide
Keane to Melbourne
**** Collingwood
This I could get behind.Kozi to Freo
Cox to Adelaide
Keane to Melbourne
**** Collingwood
And they still could contract him, they just wouldn’t be hamstrung to what was negotiated 3 years ago.Seems an easy out doesn’t it.
It was a trigger clause in his existing contract. It's not a F/U by the coach at all. However the coach did show his intentions by playing him in the twos for the last month so Smith is under no illusions about where he'll be playing. Can't we just offer Smithers an SANFL contract as well as a coaching role. He won't play much if any AFL next season. Waste of a list spot.
Another f/u by the coach allow him to get extension.
Why don't you just shut up and be happy with our four finals appearances in 15 years. It's a mystery as to why
I guess you don't read the AFLW forum either
No, I don't read the AFLW forum ....I find it's effectively hiddenIt's a mystery as to why

We may not be happy about his selection/non selection, but he may well be happy with the messaging his coach has given him. You just don't know Kane, so don't be so categoric.Lol, have you seen our selections this year...
Yes one that was easily avoidable. It was a trigger clause in his existing contract. It's not a F/U by the coach at all. However the coach did show his intentions by playing him in the twos for the last month so Smith is under no illusions about where he'll be playing.
