I’m a Newbie on here. Anyone the go to for insight? Like a user who actually has some cred for past rumours.

Dying waiting for Cumming and Luko to decide 😂😂 feel like we get Cumming but Luko makes sense at Port.

Also the pick four choice is so tough. Draper speaks so well, leg speed and a SA boy would hurt watching him play else wear. But get why we would land a more powerful mid.
Ruck wise I would target Dante Vsintini from Port but assume that’s a no go 😂

Full rebuilds take a decade or more not because they take that long necessarily but because there are often failed attempts and numerous **** ups along the way. Eventually the clubs get the right combination of people and they move forward.

We're still in the failing and ****ing up stage.

We need to move on from the ****er upperers

No, no, no, no, no. We’re blessed that the incumbents that have made the key decisions over the last 7 years are committed to sticking around and solving the problem. Roo will even move from unpaid board member to highly paid footy dept staffer to ensure that he continues to strongly influence our ‘success’.

I don't believe anything unless it's from the red horse's mouth

There's several on here which seems to get good Intel but none of us are too keen to highlight who they are lest they get less Intel. The thread marks in this thread are worth looking at (although it's a bit out of date).

Yep fair call! Thanks. Look forward to some news 💪🏻

Luko’s preference is Port (offer around 3.6m over 4 years). Cumming will be a crow. Come at me 😬😜
This ok in my book, Cumming is more of a need for us, Luko has never quite grasped the physicality of AFL Rozee wants him at Port to take pressure off himself.

No interest in bringing Petty home this year? He is a FA next year I think. He’d cost way less now though after a pretty average year.
I still rate the guy going forward. Probably not going to have a spot for him if Luko comes.

Re-signed for a couple of years earlier in the season

None last year, even less this year.

Extended his contract this year didn't he?

Missed that one. I thought the whole thing came about because he wanted to come home? Maybe just a bigger contract. Oh well. See how he goes next year, based on this season we may have dodged a bullet.
He did and Melbourne said no. You see, Victorian clubs can do that more often and not cop any flack from the AFL apparatchik.

I am still of the belief that Nicks wouldnt have met late in the season with Luko if we werent close to an agreement with the player. There hadn't been a great deal of any talk until we met with him, especially with Port throwing their name into it after the fact.

Were we rumoured to be into Zac Bailey at one stage last year?

Slightly off topic, but most footy I see live nowadays is Lions games through work colleagues. One of the topics of conversation that has come up a couple of times is teammates being frustrated with Bailey, because he doesn't do the expected team thing, and often takes options that are low percentage.

Just thought that's interesting, fwiw

He has had a worse year imo than previously but still handy.
