Crouch update

St Kilda Football Club can confirm that Brad Crouch has been delisted, with the club intending to re-rookie the midfielder through the AFL Rookie Draft in November.

You can promote rookies without all the picks stuff now which was what they changed. He would still be bound by the terms of the contract he was on so any AFL club who did that would have to be paying the 500k+ he would be on for his final year for a guy with a potentially bung knee, no one is gonna do that.

Only positive could be that he's not in charge and that maybe he's actually good at the tactical side of things. If that's the case his communication should not be an issue.

Industry insiders will know exactly what he's like. Reality is that you have to be somewhat a prick at the highest levels and you could find people who would say the same about RTB, SOS, BJ, Clarko and so on.
Bolts won't behave the same towards coaching staff and having someone with exacting standards in that position is the right thing. If it doesn't work he'll be gone pretty quickly anyway. It's the Richo's of the world that act like a slow cancer you gotta watch out for.

Not sure Rossy would take kindly to someone being a bigger knob.

It is also the stories of one ex-player flogging a book destined for the clearance racks before Christmas who doesn't know what Bolton did before in his successful time at Box Hill and Hawthorn or after at the Hawks and Magpies.

Only coach to take Hawthorn to five straight victories in first five matches as coach (filling in for Clarko), good track record with Box Hill, reckon it's a tactical brain worth having in the box.

Thats classical insecure small man stuff, lets hope he has changed over time. There were rumours he left Collingwood because of relationship difficulties with other coaches, perhaps they were correct. The timing of the article and statements by Tuohy are interesting, I wonder if there is bad blood at Collingwood? I thought he always came across in the media as abrasive and I couldnt believe he ended up as a senior AFL coach.

He must have something to offer because he has remained in the industry for sometime, so I guess we give him the benefit of the doubt. I just hope he doesnt attempt to under mine others at the club, as I think he still sees himself getting another chance at the top job.

I don't think that will be a problem. Ross Lyon is the ultimate alpha dog at the club, which I like, if Bolton is causing issues - he'll be out as soon as possible. This wouldn't have been ticked off without the big dog agreeing.
