Corr's start was because of his interrupted pre-season. All being equal, he's a totally sound key defender and gets a stupidly bad rap on here, even if he does occasionally give the ball to Ollie Dempsey on the goal line
Was it though? He was pretty poor the season before. His habit of being caught out of position and poor disposal was a pretty common occurrence last season and the start of this one. To his credit he turned things around but I don’t think we should be excusing poor performance but recognise his improvement.

He definitely had some feedback from coaches (and fans) and his improvement was noticeable - positioning, decision making, understanding his limitations etc

To me he's always been a good mover, and he was moving in treacle for much of the first half of the year. From memory he hasn't really had that many clear runs at it. Always been some niggling thing going on. I'm sure feedback and whatnot has played a part, but uninterrupted pre-seasons are absolute gold
