Next year when we have the ball in D50 and are protecting a lead in the last quarter, whom do want to have the ball exiting D50:

(a) Fisher
(b) McDonald
(c) Daniels
McDonald is done. He's been given his rope.

Fisher will play 70% forward next year.

10 years of 25 and 44. I feel comfortable.

- Mitchell Knevit and Zac Taylor

- Brayden Cook and Beau McCrery

- Jackson Mead and Will Martyn

- James Rowbottom and Justin McInerny

- Noah Balta and High Dixon

- Ben Long and Myles Poholke

- Joshua Dunkley and Blake Hardwick

- Daniel Neilson and Liam Dowson

- Daniel McStay and Aliir Aliir

- Spencer White and Harrison Marsh
Just wait til draft night when one of gerreyn, faull, Whitlock or sims are available at that pick

I’m generally pretty critical of a lot of our list management decisions but I’m not unhappy with the CD deal. I like Daniel as a player and a fit because he has a clear strength in a clear area of weakness for us.

I’m not in the least worried that he was in and out of the dogs side this year - Bevo is a genuine nutbar - if anything I can see Daniel being a much better player for us than he ever was at the dogs.

I’m absolutely wrapped to get Parker and fine with Konstanty as a peg at the stumps in a position of need.
100%. Daniel’s didn’t deserve the way he was treated this year, Bevos selection choices were criticised all year and with their list should have been far more successful. North are the winners in this trade IMO.

Daniels

We’re protecting a lead and the ball gets kicked inside 50. Daniel’s man who is 174cm has isolated him and outmarks him easily. Lmac points a bit and chuckles as the goal is kicked

Excuse the intrusion

I can understand the melts about not having picks but there are multiple options still available with pick 2

#2 for #6 + #18
on trade #6 to Gws #15 , #16 , #21

North end up with #15 , #16 , #18 , #21
There is no way we will be trading out from 2 to a handful of picks in the late teens IMO.

Gonna sign off on this trade period with this;

Did we overpay on Daniel? Yes. Would I have preferred to take 25 to the draft? Yes.

But at the end of the day I’m sick of turning up and losing every week. Comes in and provides good ball movement from the back half. We move Colby up the ground where he can damage going inside 50 and kick long goals from 50 and be a far more dangerous threat for us.

We get Parker in to provide much needed leadership. I can’t wait to see Wardlaw after working with Parker for a while. He should be great for Sheez too, help mould him into the next skipper.

Konstanty is a free hit. He brings forward pressure which we’ve needed for years. He obviously has a lot of work to do, but he’s going to get an opportunity to show if he’s cut out for the level. Seeing a spot he can fill might spur him on to push harder.

Darling, wasn’t keen but he’s a roo now and just hope it works positively for us.

All in all, forget the price. They are roos, let’s win some f*cking football games. Bring on the draft and then hopefully a happier 2025 season.

Paid overs but got what we want/need. Arguing over some slight semantics. The deals not done people would be a lot more upset and both two clubs know we needed to get it done as we desperately need experienced players and having 3 wanting to come in one year doesnt grow on trees. When I was expecting experience play/s to come in I didn't expect 3 premiership players all at once.

Could have been better traded? Sure. Unhappy, a little...but if makes us a better side in 3 years then it could be a good success.

I think Parker will make our midfield players be much better for it when they come to mature age.

3 premiership players into the list and help the core of players coming through and helping some load off Simpkin and Lmac.

I'd like to see Parker rotate with Simpkin fwd pocket.
When the chips are down and as soon as the oppo mids start getting control in the contest.. in goes parker, squeezes and chokes the contest back to even and allow our younger brigade a chance to not be bullied.

Parker was my preference from round 3.

I was getting tired of watching kicks never hit targets on transition and our team being burned on the turnover. Obviously a poor mans Houston but will definitely improve us.

Darling… nothing to say about this one. Not sure what he brings on game day.

And a small roll of the dice pressure forward? From Drouin? Yep 👍🏻

If it's okay with you I shall keep interacting and giving my opinion before draft night. And undoubtedly will have some good interaction with you along the way.
Of course! Sorry mate. I mean, don't give up hope that we've sacrificed our draft hand just yet.

I like all the picks.

I was critical of Darling. But hes here now and I like that he really appears to be buying in. And the players are VERY happy we have him.

Split 2, for 6/10 or 11. Get a couple of good kids. Overall fairly good trade period.

I watch a lot of the Dogs as they are my mums team and have always like Daniel. Better player than he's given credit for.

Its imperative to get the balance right. We are dying for someone who can kick a footy. Tick, we now have one. One where Kerch can push up the ground. Now we have 3 good kicks of the footy from defence to inside 50.
It’ll be such a Clarko thing, to turn CD into an AA half forward, in one offseason, we’re desperate need of that last kick into the forward line and what better to have someone who doesn’t miss targets.

overall i am stoked

we were a future 3rd or at worst future 2nd for daniel instead of pick 25 from it being the perfect trade period, but i will reserve judgement til draft night and beyond

the 3 all aus premiership players will play every game for us next year

konstanty will be in the mix for round 1 and means we don't have to take a small forward at the draft

draft a mid and a KPF

Bailey Smith for 17
Caleb Daniel for 25
Something feels off
