Future 1st for picks 10 and 11 is in play I'm hearing.

Richmond are hesitant to give up pick 6 in this year's draft which is understandable.
It certainly wouldn't surprise if Richmond wanted to spread the intake over 2 years.

Good that it gives us 2,10,11 this year. Seems pretty heavily and suspiciously in our favour actually.

I hope we can buy our way back into the first round next year though.

With the new rule coming in cant we use our F1st in 2 years time for next year if needed or is that only for trading..

Yeah, nice for us so probably unlikely. Would be a killer though.

Would say one each of 10/11 and 18/20 more likely to be in the ballpark but then they may just decide to draft hard this year.

We are likely to have a lot of players leave next year like CCJ and Stepho plus others like Ford and Dawson are on one year contracts and won't all be staying. So trading out picks from next year will mean we will be replacing them with fourth and fifth round picks.

We will be able to use picks 2 years ahead to get back in. Not that I am advocating trading out future picks, especially a F1. It would need to be something significant to trade that pick.

That's an ok play but the team should have the gauntlet thrown down. If they can't finish outside the bottom 6 teams they are harming their own future with this deal.

Whilst I am not prepared to say we will, or we won't smoke 'em. We very well could as part of being twice as good, finishing well below them and they still finish 7-10. I have little confidence against Ross Lyon coached teams, but agree in that come 2027 we'll be eating these type of sides consistently!
