Any chance Clarko could stay out of trade negotiations?
It's not like he is doing such an amazing job as coach that he has time to spare doing other people's jobs as well.
Maybe if he had some senior players to take charge on field, his coaching would look a lot better? Chicken/egg

We're trying to build the confidence of Hansen and Payne. He's not going to get on there and say "all our small forwards are shit".

He basically gave those guys some confidence and then said that we'll target whoever is available at pick 22-ish.
Yep there's options at 22 or 40. Not sure it's smart to telegraph to other teams what we want to draft.
They didn't exactly say "we're keen to draft a key forward" either explicitly.
Pretty obvious every team will be after small forwards if they don't have them already.

How true is this….or am l more likely to see an avocado talk banh mi fillings on a national cooking show.

.
RooSteve19 is desperately trying to market himself as a North ITK, his posts are a mixture of his musings, SEN & Trade Radio speculation along with stuff he reads on Big Footy. I seriously wouldn’t pay any attention to anything he says, particularly the stuff he quotes from Big Footy. ;)

Not sure on that...The price would have to be right with the Demons paying some of his contract and give us a pick, similar to GC and the deal with Geelong, then why not if he gets himself fit both mentally and physically. ..Great mates with Simpkin so it could work out..When right he is a contested beast and would help LDU enormously..
Rumours are Melbourne want a first round pick but we are demanding a pick..

Would like to see Luke Parker 1st deal done in trade week, send a message that we mean business to All in Sunbury

It might look a little better. But I don't think Hodge, Selwood, and Voss combined could get Clarko's last game plan to work. Let's hope he comes up with something better this time.

We are keen on him, but not sure about the rest. The delist stuff is consistent with media reporting.
Anyone actually seen him play? Gives me Mahony vibes from afar
Yea, watched him predraft and at vfl level. He is quicker than Mahoney and is more of a natural small forward. Pressure player first, which limits his offensive output.

Yeah duck off roosteve

I think you could always trade back to say 21 or 22 with Tigers/NM first, then trade back again and gather more points.
GC, Saints or GWS could be other options, will just depend who has what picks after trade week.
Entirely possible. Whatever maximises the amount of points this year really. Next year is next year's problem.

Anyway, best of luck to your club this offseason. Recruiting experienced veterans with leadership cheaply is a good start.

I’ll create a diabolical lie and see if he runs with it

He will feel right at home then 😫🤦‍♀️
At times yes.

We can't target experience for experience's sake. Parker was one of their best in a GF and is capable of standing up and getting business done when his team mates are at sea. We have regular patches like that and the more blokes who will crack in anyway means those patches of play will be less impactful and eventually less frequent.

Darling isn't quite as good an example of the type of experience we need, but he shits on our current forwards when it comes to leading patterns and could straighten the whole forwardline out if players like Larkey and Bull don't crack the shits when Darling demands they take off. Still not thrilled with him as a choice, and I think the idea he'll be anything but a liability in 3 years is borderline insane, but I see the logic as a mature stopgap before the younger talls come in while also being able to give instructions (that we bloody well need, much to my dismay) on field. I really hope he isn't just BSing everyone at the club to give them the impression he has fire in the belly, when actually he just wants a payday.

Maybe we're trying to throw other clubs off the scent....
