When George knocked Curtis out of the way with ease on the wing in the practice match at the start of the yr , I thought he would struggle to stay on the list. Didn’t want to play at the highest level badly enough and didn’t fight for his spot. Certainly has talent, but like many, potential is just one ingredient for success .

When you said you would offer 6-8, how would you get 6-8 champ without giving up pick 2 and chump change.

You are basically saying you would hand over Harry George Zane or Colby for Housten and an of first round pick such as Hardemon or Dawson

Even then Port wouldn't accept they want two first rounders so then you have to dilute our first round next year with the same scenario

Taylor was obviously too comfortable with his position at the club if the delisting genuinely shocked him. He was borderline best 22 in one of the worst sides in the history of the league.

Saints might pick him up, that's the rumour. His best was ok, just never produced it enough and had injury issues.


We've also got plenty of others that play his position better, or we think will be better like Zane

This Curtis Taylor thing gives me Mason Wood vibes.. (hopefully not) . Saints love Mason and good on him getting his career back into shape after leaving us. I heard he even got an extension this year to his contract.
As for Curtis Taylor .. I still think he ends up on Love Island or being a roadie for Harry Styles one day... even after a stint and another year or 2 lifeline club.

Well he would need to be a statistical outlier, I.e the one or two exceptions in the entire completion, to mainin an elite level into his 30’s

There’s only probably 10 thousand examples of players hitting the decline at the 30.

He will no doubt still be more than handy, but we have an AA caliber player for around 2 seasons if we recruit him.

We will have a good AFL player from then on. I.E Goldstein Dal Santo etc

I was responding to you saying 2-3 good years. Not 2-3 elite years.

He has 5-6 good years left, where he'd be a top 10 player on a finals side.
