With another CBA increase during that. It’s conceivable.

Alistair Lynch’s $1m over 10 years deal was thought of as insane at the time in the early 90’s.

If this is the sort of contractual offer that Essendon are making, I’d be asking for 4 firsts including two top 5 selections.

like an absolute insane price.

And if I was the Eagles I would take it.

Dangerfield and Cameron to Geelong and Lynch to Richmond; can't remember what they cost in trades but I can't imagine they came cheaply

You could reasonably conclude Buddy's 9 years was a brave but good call (though no flag in that time).

Clarry Oliver's 7 years is not looking real flash halfway through the first of 7.

Its probably comparable to the swans buddy deal by the numbers when you consider the tpp has increased.

It’s capped at 3 years for concussion as per rule update a few weeks ago.

In that example if Harley Reid was medically retired on day 1, they’d only be able to spread his salary across 3 years, and would have to put $6m per season in their salary cap across the next 3 years.

Geelong aren't delisting him. He won't be a DFA, he will be a UFA, so they'll get compo.

That isn't relevant to compo. Because Stengle was once a DFA he automatically becomes a UFA when we comes out of contract - regardless of the years played.

I had no idea the club still get compo…..I just thought that meant he could go where he wants.

He was delisted by Adelaide, therefore, I thought free agency compensation was voided.

Absolutely ******ed that a team can be compensated after just 3 years of service from a player imo.
