Game Day 2024 Trade Period - Lian Yu - that liminal space between trade and draft.

It might make it easier for him to move since it's just a money thing - and his age will mean we might get a compensation pick greater than a trade would.

But, if he is good enough there's no way we can keep him without either losing Darcy or Jackson plays midfield.
A lot of fringe rucks move for **** all so this could actually get as more than a trade would. But then again it could get us nothing at all.

Your final paragraph goes completely against the rest of your post

Keeping worner on the rookie list is doing the same thing but with 1 less step (not needing to delist and pickup in the rookie draft)
It's about what him and the club have agreed in his contract not what AFL rules said we could do after his contract was signed.

Either way I think we're in the same position where there's a difficult conversation to be had. Unless there's no other option the club doesn't seem willing to have it.

Does anyone actually think Jackson is going to play midfield?

In 96 Pantera released Trend Kill
I'm pretty sure Vulgar Display of Power and Far Beyond Driven were both released between 91 and 94. The entire 90s was pretty good for metal TBH.

Not sure if this is thread appropriate but it certainly feels like it's a good conversation to have while we wait for the draft.

I'll talk Pantera on drsft night too

Best metal band ever

Pffft Judas Priest aren’t fit to hold Phil Anselmo’s jockstrap. Max Cavalera also says hi from that era. Feel genuinely sorry for the elevator music this current generation has to settle for. Zero originality.
That reminds me of the time I saw Sepultura in the Carillon Food Court. (Eating not playing obviously).

Incredibly strange given they are demoting Knobel from the main list and thus creating a FA for life to accommodate this promotion for Worner.
Wagner is already on the main list as he was a ND draftee not a rookie.
He has been on rookie list 3 years (2022, 2023, 2024). Drafted Nov 2021 Rookie draft. So has to be delisted if not upgraded.

Not as good as the 80's... 😉

90's was good for the grunge metal scene (which I love), but you ain't getting past old Metallica, Anthrax, Testament, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Overkill, Exodus, and a ton of other metal bands that rocked it hard in the 80's.

Yeah I.tend to agree. I personally believe the 90s metal particularly early 90s took inspiration from the 80s massive bands and improved it in some areas.

Phil Anselmo's vocals shits on classic metal bands vocals. Some sound cringy today. He has the ability to scream but be perfectly clear. He dressed street.

Pantera is the best

I love most of slayer and Sepultura too plus some old Metallica

My big 4

Don't forget the definitive Bad News.

And of course the one band everyone else lives in the shadow of...

Alice in Chains were incredible too. Layne Staley is the GOAT when it comes to male vocalists. He was a clear standout even though he existed in the same era as Kurt Cobain, Eddy Vedder, Chris Cornell, Billy Corgan, and many other legends. It's a pity he was lost to drug addiction so young.
