I can see your point with Preuss being free, but lets not forget he also did a hammy jumping running through the banner in a VFL game... if we weren't sold on Soldo lasting 3 years, not sure why we would go for Preuss who may not even get through one

I'm more worried they'll gazump us with 9 for 15+16.

5+16 for 3 will make sense for them and should be enough for WC and Baker.

Wasn't an issue when Essendon had 9 as there was no point them splitting... is an issue now

We have been involved in discussions over the weekend with Eagles, Tigers, Hawks in regards to the Baker and Barass moves as one trade. We are only in it with regards to pick swaps. I was told tonight that progress has been made but that it’s still a long way off.

My understanding is that we gain Pick 3 & a F3 in the deal & lose 8 & F1. Giving up an F1 is risky, but pick 3 in this strong draft is highly desirable.

Do you have any further understanding on it? It’s not the rumoured deal that has Richmond getting 8 and West Coast 20 and F1 is it?
