Shaping as another tough draw, with doubles up x against two of Sydney, Geelong, Port Adelaide, Hawthorn and GWS and a double up against Bulldogs, Carlton, Collingwood, Fremantle, Essendon and Saints and then a final double up against Suns as they finished in the bottom 6.

I could be wrong but we may get a second double up in that second group which is stacked with teams that you'd think will do well in 2025.

Pathetic Suns can't even get themselves into the middle 6 bracket so that we get a nice tasty bottom 6 matchup against another poor club.

Double ups against Port and Swans would be nice and easy... double ups against the Saints and Bombers would be even easier... Suns Meh.

Would of been good to unfurl the Premiership flag against the Pies but that wont be happening with Easter Thursday already locked in.

We are looking at flights for the last weekend in September 2025.

We had a terrible traveling fixture this season.

3x SA
All the Melbourne game times were shit for travelling down there to watch a game
Hopefully we do a bit better on that front.

Yes and that's the issue; had they not crapped the bed late in the season like they always do and dropped in the bottom 6, we'd have had another double up against the bottom 6 like Tom said above, but now they'll be our only bottom six double up in 25.

I don’t want to give the young bucks a kick along early in the year after the Carlton debacle last year.
I would much prefer Geelong.
We will still have a point to prove over Geelong.

If they want to keep the Opening Round in the northern states, taking into consideration where all teams finished and then their respective preseasons, I would assume it would be something like:

Sydney v Hawks/Geelong
Us v Hawks/Geelong (whoever Sydney don't get).
GC v Collingwod
GWS v Carlton

I wouldn't mind the Hawks but I doubt they'll give it to us. Reckon it might be the Cats on a Friday night.

Would definitely like to play the Hawks at the Gabba next year though.

We had a plethora of prime time games in the first half of last season but they dried up when we were 13th by the time the second half of the season came out with the floating fixture. We will be eating good for the first half of the season but then need to perform to keep the prime time slots in the second half of the season.
