You would think the cats have enough law breakers, that they shouldn’t be one to be able to be in the hunt for him

Wait til tanner bruhn’s court case too
Lol. Someone at cats tipped off a very prominent ex-player early in his career that vicpol were looking at him for trafficking. They are well covered. They're also an easy pork barrel for government elections (i.e. stadium upgrades) which only make sense if they're good and have growing membership/crowd to fill it out

Personally I'm hoping we've figured out Melbourne's playbook by bringing fwd the first rounder each year. Gives us an extra year of dev into a 1st rounder (pick 27 lol) at the same time we start ascending the ladder
Viney was part of that Dees playbook with Jason Taylor, so he'd be well aware of the strategy.
It likely depends on the LDU situation (if he leaves we'll have picks obviously) and/or whether we have trade targets.
Brady and Will suggested we may not be drafting as strongly (I suspect a couple of kids) given the kids we have already.

North, *, GWS and WCE all have two R2's, but WCE and * have two R1's already, so they may not need to move up or into the order with futures all that urgently. They may even trade those picks for players like Reid or Warner.
We need to do it during trade week and lock in a pick number vs waiting for draft night though.
I think with F/S kids in 2026 we may need some points next year to consider as well.
Trade week and draft night will be interesting, depending what picks we hold.

I’m seeing a lot of names, but none of them fix our biggest issues A midfield that runs one way and can’t kick inside 50.
Attitude and team first mentally. The current group need to put their own interests and stat sheets aside.
