Luke Parker
Luke Parker has plenty of football ahead and has already compiled a resume packed with impressive achievements. Since landing at the Sydney Swans via the 2010 AFL Draft, he has won a 2012 premiership medal, earned All Australian selection and won two Bob Skilton medals. In 2015, he was added to the club’s leadership group at the age of just 22, and has led the team as a co-captain alongside Josh Kennedy and Dane Rampe since 2019. While Parker is among the league’s elite midfielders, his strong marking and expert game awareness make him a genuine threat when rotating through the forward line.

Luke Parker

Of course it does it's proven that the more attractive your torso is the higher your chances of getting the football.

I saw Luke play for Langwarrin 1sts in the MPFL when he was 16 and he was clearly BOG.Apparently his season with the Stingrays wasn't as good last year.We will have to wait and see..................

Thought I'd throw in a mention that Parker came in second for the Ben Mitchell Medal, the highest award given by the AIS-AFL academy...... Tom Mitchell came third.

He's got a nice turn of pace too. Kinda looks like Rohan when he breaks out on a big run. If this is the kind of play people were seeing from him over the last 2 years, I cannot understand how he fell to pick 40.

I've got no idea why the Don's didn't pick him up at 32? Would've suited them to no end.

A new video just got posted on facebook...... wow.

After watching that i'm on the bandwagon. Loved the sandwich tackle he received just after the half way mark of the video, and still got the ball out to a team mate. :thumbsu:

The Kids a natural. Always seems to find and deliver to a team mate, or goal. (recognising however that highlight videos can be a little deceiving, meaning, it's not a low light video is it). And very strong in the body.

Why did he drop to pick 40? were there any injury concerns? poor performance in a final or something like that?
He isn't as good as Swallow, Bennell, Gaff, Polec, Conca, Caddy, Heppell, Prestia, Smith, Smedts, Atley, Pitt and Wallis. A lot of teams had other needs more important than a midfielder, so he dropped further. Guys like Hallahan are very similar to Parker so it was probably just an individual preference when taking those players over him. Definitely in the top 20 midfielders in the draft though

Thanks for that, if Parker dropped to 40 it looks like it might be a strong draft

Hi new to the thread but I to am impressed with the early signs for Luke Power. Is it just me or does he remind you of luke Hodge in his highlights package?
