I agree that i doubt we ever see him play for Australia in test cricket again but i will never stop praying for it.

I am not sure if he ever would have been a success at that level but CA certainly mismanaged (seemingly intentionally at a point).

I think he certainly had something to offer at times in certain situations.

His time was that Sri Lanka series, was so close to playing over there

Then I wouldn't have been shocked if he played in India last year considering Pete and Renshaw got gigs but that leg injury screwed his chance of being in the squad


Sliding doors if he played that Sri Lanka series and scored runs, would have been interesting if he got the chance and took it like Bison did in England

Wade at 7 is fine for depth.

Wades good at 7, look at the tail after that

8 is usually a bowler that can hit a little, like a Starc or Abbott, if you lose too many wickets early then you can still be saved by a pinch hitter

Going back a few years it felt like they were almost trying to keep him out of any long form cricket. Seemed like they didn't want to give him a chance to force his way in to the team. With the level of talent you would think they would want to give him every chance to make it at that level.
