I was glancing at the Glorious Summers - Celebrating 30 Years of Australian Cricket DVD in the shops this morning, and was surprised that it's only just over 2 hours long. I guess 9 are more likely to have the highlight packages (as shown on Fox) rather than the full footage of most matches covered (except for the recent matches).

it's probably just great 100's picked bythe commentary team and great bowling perfomances picked by the commentary team. with a couple of great gamesthrown in

During summer it does (not heaps though) but during winter Melbourne has much more rain. It comes out about even really. Melbourne is a bit more likely to have a sudden storm though imo.

Do you have any sources for these claims? I would love to see them.

Pakistan sound pretty happy to be bowling in these conditions.

Makes me wonder why 9 don't do more with their archives of footage, esp regarding DVDs.

I'd love to get some mid to late 90s stuff with Warnie and McGrath tearing through teams and the Waugh brothers piling on runs. That era is 15 years old now, and there'd be kids watching cricket today who never saw those guys in their prime. I was channel 9 showed more of that stuff.

australia could be rolled for under a 100 here or get over 500. it will be a good test for all. the pakis still have to get it in the right areas. the pitch wont do the work for them
