The season is shot. We need to see CCJ in action. We need a forward line that has some players capable of bringing down a mark or bring it to ground. Larkey would be the worst KPF in the league to do that.

I think you'll find the only 200cm+ players who aren't coming out of contract are Larkey and Xerri. All the others, McKay, Free, Goldstein, Edwards and Comben are in their final year. Potentially a giant hole if they don't start signing them up.

I don't see it. He's just about the most natural forward on our list, even if his set shot woes knock him down a notch or two

I canr see Edwards will ever playing a senior game which means we prolly need at minimum another 2 key fwds.

I have been worried for a while now how much we have risked on chom being the real deal because we certainly dont have a backup plan.

In yet another season that is threatening to be gloomy, this guy is a shining light. I can’t believe people are questioning aspects of his game or where he belongs already - he’s taking his first steps in the big league and while they are baby steps he just so clearly has ‘it’ (and a passion for the contest as well). If half the other plodders played with his intensity we’d be in a very different ladder position.

This guy is a big part of our future. Have to play him but look after him - keep him out of the ruck please, and isolate him one on one in the forward line. Not there yet, but will get there - future Gun.

You are right, at the moment he is out performing Chom, granted he is in a much better team that has more inside 50's and better quality ones as well. But how would having Ben in the side help develop Charlie? He would be stuck playing 2's while we had 2 forwards who are best marking on the lead, and both struggle at contested marking.
