Gave away a couple early doors, but saved a couple as well. Defended, tackled as he should, and proved he can. Earnt his pay :)

Great game for a guy that's probably not in the top 30 players on our list. Made one glaring error but i appreciated his defend first approach. Tries hard. Should play next week

Was WAY WAY better than Logue has been at any point in preseason or round 1 yesterday.

Was a big reason we defender so much better yesterday, was also part of the reason we were able to free up Comben.

Logue returns to the VFL imo. He simply hasn't looked anywhere near fit enough every time I've seen him.

The pressure is going to be turned up on him, given we have Whitlock and W.Dawson coming through also.

I came in to post this. Griff is overrated on this board and Pink (as a defender) underrated. I don't think he's the answer long term, the kids you mentioned are. But he has an important role a la Darling up forward to play a role while the kids build in the 2s.

Pink has never really had the proper opportunity to play defense (at AFL level) since he got dropped early last year. He played some really good football vs freo
Yeah and our whole defense was terrible against Carlton and he was dropped.

He was good yesterday. Anyone saying otherwise has an agenda.

If the players selected each week bring his attitude and passion for the context each week, then it will result in a lot more wins this year.

Kudos for the entire Backline group who turned around those early errors, and contributed to this win. It’s not a stretch to say that both Logue and Archer come back via the VFL, unless we get mauled by the Crows and Swans in the next 2 weeks.

Here is a telling stat - Doggies had 57 I50’s the week before and yesterday the Demons had only 1 less. So pretty much the same amount of work, and yet only conceded 66 points against 113 points. Chom and Pinky were like May/Lever and taking numerous marks. The only dangerous forward yesterday was Chandler. They are still looking for Bayley Fritch I see via the Police Missing People website 😎
