Nah I love green dog but I would go with specialist bowlers....abbot or morris for me

its just an experiment..so I can understand a bit...he has struggled with the swing and got it up to 141 clicks

but bowlers to open the bowling for me

Neither Morris or Abbott are swing bowlers and Morris was putrid in the first game probably do him good to not bowl while the field is up

He can swing the thing we don’t have many that can especially since we refuse to play a second swing bowler (Dorff would be one)
Think you're criminally overrating the ability to swing the ball. That alone isn't enough to justify opening the bowling. Ryan Duffield could swing the ball both ways.

Green has an ODI bowling average of 40. He's yet to prove he's a quality short format bowler. I'm fine with him being bowled more but there's much better options to open the bowling.

He barely gets a chance to bowl where he should be in ODI’s and that’s early on. He shouldn’t be a middle order bowler.

Thats because they keep drop catches of his bowling all the time...

nah he has proven he is a quality allrounder and his economy rate in the short form is fine

but I do agree he should not be opening the bowling

Teams struggle to bowl overs as it is- let’s not slow the game down more thanks. You have THREE reviews and you retain it for any umpires calls
It’s clear that most dismissals won’t need to be reviewed.

It won’t cause any more undue delays than reviewing already does.

Which is because there's better opening bowlers. I'll be stunned if we see him open in any meaningful ODIs in the near future which will prove the move to open with him here was completely pointless.

He won't but I can understand the experiment in a dead rubber....so thats fine for me and they did use Hardie to open the bowling in the 2nd dig...for the swing and he did okay

as a 2nd change yes I can see him doing that well in the future ..when he first started for WA batting at 8 ..he came on as a 2nd change bowler...so he has never opened the bowling before

Better than opening with Abbott or Morris who should be nowhere near the side as bowlers. Abbott maybe but Bartlett is better
