its the same with the Australian womens cricket team when they play a lower tier nation here. Bowl first, get them out cheaply and try to get the game done and dusted quickly.
Get the game off and have an earlier evening. Even if its a 1-2 hour earlier finish, its a win-win for the Aussie players.

As I said before it seems like teams are struggling to bat 50 overs these days due to the players being more used to playing T20s than ODIs.
Includes the next generation of Australian batters too unfortunately. India will likely play every WC final from here on in given they somehow manage to perform in all 3 formats.

And yet we’re the reining champ in 2 formats and India hasn’t won a t20 WC in how long?
This constant worry about India dominating world cricket is just so dramatic and over the top. They have their struggles just like everyone else

JFM being a prime example, he came out swinging in the last ODI like he was batting in a T20 and was out before the end of the first over.

India lost to a reasonably traditional one day side. It had Smith and Labs in it! The next generation for Australia I hope can find some batters that want to bat out 50 overs.
