This will be the catalyst I think for Usman Khawaja to realise we're pretty serious in the Australian cricket team.

The fact they were meant to send their views over text message is completely irrelevant*, the issue is that they couldn't complete the absolute bare minimum as asked by the coach. It doesn't matter if it's unprofessional, it doesn't matter if it's pointless, they should be doing whatever it takes. Khawaja is especially worrying, considering he is trying to get INTO the team.

*While it was said that all they had to do was send their views over text message, it was my interpretation that this was the bare minimum they had to do to satisfy the coach. They could've obviously submitted the 3 things any way they liked.
Exactly.

Knock, knock.

"Mickey, you got 10 minutes?"

"Sure".

"I just want to go through my thoughts about how we can improve."

"No worries."

Obviously waaaaaaaaay too hard for the gang of four. Watson in particular as v-c is a major disappointment.

Also I find it hilarious that they were going to talk to Arthur on Monday about something due on Saturday.

It's not high school where you don't see your teacher on the weekend. They are staying at the same hotel. If you don't want to send a text then talk to him on Saturday or Sunday.

Ok, but - why the **** aren't the Coach and Captain just talking to their players?!?

A whole bunch of players from the 90s.

I'm not surprised you're thinking it's so great.

Well when you had a bloke like Allan Border as your captain, he said it straight to your face and would send you home if things didn't happen. What is wrong with that approach? They want to be all PC about it?

Nah
Border went ahead and told the media that he would resign because all the players were shit.

He did this before telling the other players.

How do you know they aren't? I am sure they talk to the players all the time.

Maybe this was a particular exercise designed to throw a bit of responsibility back onto the players to do a bit of individual thinking and soul searching.

They couldn't have made the request any simpler. And four dills still weren't up to the task.
