Wants to stay in Melbourne… looks like we have been caught napping again

If I find out Rawlings has lowballed cam and that’s why he wants out - I’ll get a crane to hook up his Snoz

Right now, as much he is the most marketable and likeable player on our list - a clear fan favourite - keeping Zurhaar with our list holes at CHF, CHB, Wing, HB and crumbing forward, is almost like going to sizzler, pigging out on cheesecake and trifle and forgetting to eat your main at the all you can eat salad bar.

As much as he is a match-winner, we need to be building a formidable foundation for our rebuild. Only if a win-win trade situation came about where we fill an actual hole in the list should we be entertaining an offer.
Who would be our cheese toast?

I love him but he's literally the only one we can afford to lose that has value. Would always keep him 100% but the second choice is Eddie Ford playing more and what should be a decent pick. He's clearly worth a pick in the mid first round. That's a KP player.

Wouldn't blame him if he wanted to leave (unless it came out his contract demands were absurd or something) but I also don't think he would have his mind made up already. Passmore nailed it. Clarko would bring his reputation as well as an expectation of stability. Practically anyone else would have a degree of uncertainty attached, and after churning through several coaching groups and the team sucking like arse for the last few years, I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to go elsewhere.

Why are people trying to play it down? The reason why we are in the position we are in is due to a lack of players 24-28 who can play footy. Cam is turning 25 and is our leading goal kicker, it is a huge loss of talent, experience and most importantly creates the first domino of an exodus. Hopefully new coach can turn his head and get a show of faith. He is also out of contract, we don’t hold the leverage in trade talks.

Nothing will bring me greater disappointment than seeing him play in another club's jumper. Arguably our most charismatic and creative player on and off the field. Will be a huge loss if, after everything he has said and got involved with internally, leaves for another Vic club.

Looks invested in the club and seemingly happy in Melbourne.

If it was to happen, Logue and their first?

Nek Minit we win a game or two and Eagles end up last, and offer us a 3rd rounder or they walk him through to the PSD with the number 1 pick.

If he wanted to leave to go back to WA, I wouldn't like it but I'd get it.

Wanting to leave AND end up at another Vic club?

Would be hard not to harbour some pretty negative feelings towards him if that were the case.
I hate it when best 22 players leave.

Coming in off the rookie draft, giving him his shot, working through his development and early inconsistencies, getting past that "confidence" player stuff to being a shows up player. All the way to his peak age and form.

And then they leave.

To another vic club? Well, that would turn it up to 11. Not even the go home reasoning.

They are free to do whatever they want, their life not mine. You better believe ill be hopin whoever they go to never plays finals.

Agreed. But time we made a 6 to 700k offer a year for 5 years. He is close to the best mid sized forward in the game
