Interesting that after the debate the pundits on Fox gave Ronny the bobble head, a high pass, and a big thumbs down to Newsom. So Fox fans won't be influenced at all. But perhaps the Trump supporters watching may disagree with the elevation of Mr Bobble Head.

It was hilarious how they were twisting themselves in knots.

They were claiming that Ron smashed Newsom, while reiterating that in spite of this, his performance did nothing to close the gap on Trump.

The more polls I see and prospective voters interviewed, I can see Biden losing irrespective of how the economy is going.

The fact that there will be Kennedy and possibly another independent (Joe Manchin/No Labels?) will take votes from him not only because of his age but the decisions being made re Israel. Kennedy may also take votes from Trump.

He will be very lucky he isn't going up against a Nikki Haley as many swing voters like her.

Further having Harris as VP isn't helping.

Are people really going to switch from Biden to Kennedy?

Yeah I don’t see that in major numbers - Kennedy flirted with being a liberal alternative to Biden at first but now is a crank alternative to Trump. The Kennedy nostalgia vote must be pretty close to dead and he couldn’t be doing a worse job tapping into it. He also hasn’t really got any better a position on Israel than Biden.

I think more likely is people not showing up. Polls have Biden and Trump being near even in young voters shows that those disgusted by the White House’s actions with regards to Israel are just not going to vote.

Often 3rd/4th party candidates can affect the result.

Split the undecided votes, just like some that voted during Clinton/Trump by voting for Jill Stein took votes away from Hillary.

In Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, one could plausibly blame third parties for the outcome. In Michigan, Clinton lost by less than a percentage point, a deficit she could have recovered from with half of Stein’s votes. Again in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, where Clinton lost by one point, Jill Stein’s votes would have covered her loss. Had Clinton won all three states, she would have won the election.

Yeah the unconditional support of Israel has really put him over the top in terms of his unfavourability, just so out of touch with the majority position. Even 55% of Republicans support a ceasefire in a poll I saw a while back, Kyle Kulinski I think it was said its like he's actually trying to lose lol.

I saw a tweet that I’m paraphrasing here saying “I never thought there could be anything more embarrassing than people willing to go to prison for Trump until I saw Biden willing to throw away his presidency for Benjamin Netanyahu.”

democrats need to move away from Biden if they want to have a chance.

I'm not sure the democrats understand that it'll be young voters who decide the election, and it purely be if they actually decide to vote.

Younger people in the US do not like war they don't want war they certainly won't sacrifice themselves for their country and watching the US give all their tax dollars to Israel so they can kill a bunch of innocent women and Children instead of helping Americans who are struggling with the rising cost of living. Will be turning a lot of people off voting.

For all those lesser of two evils people that gap isn't so large anymore.

The new movie that is about to be released called "Civil War" is a scary look into the possible future almost like they are trying to condition the public, the only difference will be it won't be California and Texas teaming up....

This is interesting. By the time the election rolls around, one would hope the Israeli conflict will be somewhat abated. But the abortion issue isn't going away. Which will be more important to young people (especially women) by November next year?

None of that shit even matters.

Economy goes up, Biden wins. Economy goes to shit, Trump wins.

People are dumb and will vote for whatever is in their own immediate economic interest. It doesn't even matter that the president has no control over the economy, people just link the figurehead to the prevailing economic climate. If interest rates start getting cut and the economy rebounds the Dems will win.

In short: "It's the economy, stupid."

CNN conducted a poll in Michigan and Georgia, both states Biden won and show Trump leading but the interesting numbers were that 10%/7% wouldn't vote for either.
I can never ever be close to assured what people will vote for, but for me it's looking like there's the no more Trump voters, followed by the Joe we don't need you anymores, then the who catches our fancy from our tribe voters.
Halley seems more presidential with her resume. The Dems haven't really blooded anyone as a possible last minute candidate. God forbid they think Kamala will be the one. Halley will roll her. Newsome v Halley is interesting, but not really warm to either. I think the total numbers might go down if its those two. Biden v Trump will get the biggest turnout what with all the impending disaster campaigning from both sides.
My hope is that the Dems win it all for at least eight years of Congressional elections. The MAGA cancer has to be excised. Then we can reset to the before times and right some the wrongs we wanted to do the past.

Agree although it is going to be tough as I forget another person that is standing, West. Now all those third party standing won't get many votes (Kennedy? and Manchin may if he decides to stand), it may be enough together with those that won't turn up to give Trump enough votes and win.

I don't think that the Abortion issue will factor as much in Presidential race more for those within the state Legislature and Senate/House seats.
