India aren't declaring. Not anytime soon at least, considering 550+ scores have lost and considering that it gets really tough to bat in the 3rd innings.

Perhaps, but what's to say Jacques or Ponting might get out quickly trying to save their wicket in the last hour?

It's a matter of picking up quick wickets in succession. Given the nature of the track, there'd be no point declaring now and watching Australia scoot away to 100/0 at Stumpts.

Assuming these two stick around, if they declare with an hour to go and put some pressure on then, then maybe there will be a few errors.
