The laws say it's automatically a 4, and can be awarded 5 penalty runs instead by umpire if deemed "deliberate"

Yeah seen it there - but that's my point, you let it start creeping in, and one day, it's gonna be a controversial moment (say the away team over there is chasing it and an outside person like one of those deformed boundary rider people picks it up = auto boundary).
Like the bump thing, just gotta be clear cut about it - do not do it, or you pay a proper penalty.

I am so glad they put a stop to that. Some players came very close to being injured almost running into kids.

A few got off the train at Richmond this morning
Being left handed for writing. Racquet sports, throwing, handball etc, but right sided for everything else, it played havoc with my ball drop playing footy. Destroyed my burgeoning AFL career because I was a terrible kick ( well that's what I tell myself anyway).
