Can anybody tell me the cultural difference in why some Indian (and other cricketing nations from over that part of the world) players have their first names on their shirts?

Bumrah is referred to as Bumrah by the commentators, but has Jasprit on his shirt. How weird would it be seeing 'Steve' on the back of Smith's?

Kurtis Patterson:
Test average- 144
Tests- 2

Mitch Marsh
Test average- 28
Tests- 46

Nobody will ever say it publicly, but I reckon there’s a lot of bemused / annoyed fringe players that haven’t had the favours Marsh received from selectors.

Very good white ball player, but never up to test cricket.

Commentators used to call Imran, "Khan" and that was printed on his shirt. Very Western-centric approach.

They choose their shirts

Australia are saints are they spare me
Classic whataboutism. No player from any nation has the right to physically and purposely use his shoulder to bully and intimidate another player.
Any player from any nation deserves a suspension be it English. Kiwi, Australian but apparently not Indian.
Hmmm go figure.
