I love Head but the gap between his best and worst batting is ****ing astonishing. It would be nice if he scored at least 30 when he's not at his best.

Thats why Head will only ever be deemed as a "good Test batsman". Is inconsistent plus his record outside Australia interest of being consistent needs to be better.

He needs to sort those flaws to be even better.

The reality is Mitchell Marsh Ave 29.3 batting and 39.8 with ball.

Part timers - Max Walker 27.5 and Doug Walters 29.1 respectively.

I always say at local sub districts level cricket the difference between 99 and 100 is about 10-20 runs purely for the psychological impact of seeing a third digit on the required column. Similar psychology for 299 and 300 in this instance.
