Interesting sitting at fine leg and one little kid spent the entire day trying to get Bumrahs autograph but he just ignored them completely and the 12th man kept telling him to go away.

But every kid got the very prized autograph of Sean Abbott!
I don't really begrudge the players for that while they're playing, particularly a bowler. With the amount of overs he's bowled series and how much he's carried their attack, I'd probably want to relax as best as I can while not bowling if I were him haha.

There was a "sign his bat" chant going around for a kid that was trying to get his signature at the Gabba from Australian and Indian fans alike that I thought was pretty cool. Sadly, the bat was not signed.

Jesus, are the Bumrah crybabies back again?

Literally every second day of this test series has included someone debunking the notion that a hyperextension is a throw.

It isn't. Learn the rules. God damn.
It seems like it happens every single time there's a dominant bowler from the subcontinent.

Ashwin's copped it at times too.

I don't go on Twitter, but I have found that they are extremely easy to wind up from reading cricinfo comments.

Not that I would wind them up myself of course...........

They are bad on Instagram as well and take the bait every time.

They didn't understand that the issue with Kholi was he actually made physical contact with an opposition player.

They think the uproar was because he was sledging and then they spend all day showing videos of Ponting sledging when he was playing calling us hypocrites hehe!

Only for one sport, don't see them at the footy or GP or Aust Open. You people think you do anything but you only follow one sport and Australia is still better than you.

What a shit and ignorant thing to say. Just because cricket is India's number one sport doesn't mean they don't play or follow others. They just ****ing won Bronze for Men's Hockey at the Olympics.

Why would you post this when you clearly have NFI?

The more I watch Murali videos the more convinced I become that the apparent straightening is due to his ridonkulous shoulder rotation and the camera angle.

These upper echelon bowlers just tend to the freakazoid side of things. Warnie could do things with his wrist that no one has really replicated.

My problem was his action was inconsistent, you watch sometimes and it looks ok and other times he is chucking it.

I remember watching Sri Lanka playing tests in New Zealand on Foxtel back in the day and he was chucking it as bad as I've ever seen a spinner do it.

Having been to a lot of test cricket, I cannot remember a time where every opposition player was booed off the ground after a dismissal like I saw today. Eg. Marnus was booed off after making a really gutsy 70 which I feel like goes against the very fabric of test cricket sportsmanship.

It's probably because Kholi got heckled walking up the race after he went out.

You got to get some revenge for the King!

Do we have a start time?

I thought I'd seen 10.09 in this thread, but ch7 said first ball was 10.30am.

edit: Cricinfo also saying 10.09am, so I guess I go with that.
Yes 10.09am and not a minute later or earlier.

Embarrassing post. Goodness me.

Exactly.

Saeed Ajmal fixed his.

The ICC wroked out that when he bowled his doosra he straightened his elbow by 35 degrees or more (left picture) and thus illegal. He worked on his action so he could come back and bowl legally.

The ICC have tested Bumrah and said he straightens it less than 15 degrees but they haven't tested/measured in match conditions. He's definitely more than 15 degrees sometimes.

Personally, when they made the accommodation for Murali I think 15 degrees was excessive. 10 degrees would have been more than enough.
The "Murali rule" was 10 degrees for fast bowlers and 5 degrees for spinners. They then did further tests and found the average elbow extension was 8-10 degrees, so almost everyone was pushing or even breaking the line.

I'll let Wikipedia take it from there...

My point is Australia needs to win!! A wicket or two tonight would have been magnificent.
Anyway, maybe Starc is cooked and obviously Cummins knows way more than us
We needed to bowl great to win tomorrow regardless. Having them 1 for 30 overnight while chasing 300 wouldn't have changed that.

At least now we have some protection and India have to really go for it (the carrot is still there for them) if they want to close the series by the end of this Test.

I applauded umpires Darryl Hair (in 1995) and Ross Emerson (1999) for no-balling Muralitheran. After all, they were only following the Laws of Cricket.

Ross Emerson (from WA) never umpired an international match again.

I'm sorry but that wikipedia article is terrible. The accommodation to 15 degrees was sparked by Murali being called again in 2004. That's the Murali 'rule'.

Most of the people questioning Bumrah's action only have a passing interest in cricket. All the cricket people I know feel there's nothing at all wrong with his action.
