Unfortunately Tsatas weakness, like Shiel, is defs his kicking. Kicking is always a problem for those burst speed players because they're running so fast its hard to get balanced.

However Shiel has gotten much better at kicking this year, clearly worked on it.
If he breaks out of a stoppage & kicks it along the ground I will take it.
It is clearly better than kicking it high up the chimney like we currently do.

Except tsatas doesn’t kick loopy balls like shiel. Those power players out of stoppage you’re happy for them to run 15 then kick it deep and long. See dangerfield.

Tsatas can loop them a bit though but mostly the short kicks

I'm super hyped to see him get some games. The draft class seems fantastic so far and it must have been harsh for him seeing all his fellow draftees flourishing whilst he sat out injured.

Expecting a slow start and will definitely need a good few VFL games to get his match fitness and conditioning up after missing so much footy. Hoping for a healthy second half of the year for him to serve as a building block for his long term future.

Wish Elijah well
strangely I think there is a bit of pressure on him through no fault of his own.
humphrey and phillipou have both been very very good.
I saw Elijah watching Wesley play a couple of weeks ago and my only concern was the lack of size in the upper body but it looks like his core is already quite powerful.
If his game translates to afl in time we have a line breaking midfielder who can hit stoppages on the run and has legitimate run and carry in his game. A true inside/ outside midfielder with some size.
The type of player any club would covet.

I wasn’t sold on Tsatas when we took him - thought Phillipou in particular needed very strong consideration.

But seeing Tsatas in recent pics gives me a lot of hope - his lower body looks turbo powered. Let’s hope it translates to games.

Excited to see what he does.

He must have worked extremely hard on his ball use over his first pre season. Watched many of his junior games and that was by far the best he has ever used the ball. Very impressed.

If he keeps that up with his athletic traits then you have the superstar we are desperate for

Weights his kicks quite nicely
Has a nice fluid action.

Timely debut, even in limited minutes.

Reminds everyone of just how much ability he has, quietens down the peanut gallery who have been seeing what Humphrey, Ginbey and Phillipou have been doing and going the early crow and most importantly, lends depth to what is a very thin midfield group.

Phillipou is a Cypriot surname by the way, we made the right choice.

Watched most of the VFL game today and the bloke clearly has it in terms of the ability to find the pill.
The ball just gravitates to him. He's also got a great ability to pick it up cleanly and scoot off with it before anyone even registers what he's doing.
That said he's clearly well short of a gallop and is going to need a sustained run in the VFL just for conditioning. It sounded like even without the MCL he was going to be a bit of a project this year so we may have to be patient but i'm confident that there's plenty there to work with.
