Dump kicks are less of an issue when there’s team mates who can take a contested mark, at a minimum stop the opponent from marking it, and the players at ground level who can win back the contested ballFeel like Oliver’s footskills aren’t that bad he just loves a no look dump kick for some reason.
That you, McGarth?Dump kicks are less of an issue when there’s team mates who can take a contested mark, at a minimum stop the opponent from marking it, and the players at ground level who can win back the contested ball

Depending what happens with Hayes, Captain hindsight says we were crazy not to do the deal with the Demons. So Phillipou has not reached great heights either so that makes it okay our guy can not kick ? All that says to me is we really had no idea what we where doing if both the players in the frame have issues.
They are clearly taking a different direction with him . He has had a couple of run with roles and Saturday was pure inside midfield with limited outside game. If this is what we have to do then fine. He can find the footy. He has good hands in close and it does not expose the kicking issues as much . Of course the issue if this is going to his lot is the fact he is not going to be the line breaking midfielder they where looking to introduce to the system . Second to that he will take longer to develop as his body is not ready. Then there is the issue of him competing with Durham / Caldwell / Hobbs for an inside spot and also Parish to a slightly less degree as a clearance player.
So we set out to draft a midfielder that could break the lines and ended up with a guy who could be a very good inside mid if he develops his body and he has that sort of mental edge.
I will say it again. They have worked on the kicking for over 12 months. There has been no improvement. It is still the same. It is not an issue like Watson who had a bit of a lazy ball drop . It is not like Shiel who simply tried to kick too many while running at speed around a corner. His ball drop is okay. He does not swing the leg on an angle. He simply has not timing when he tries to put any force on the footy and he tends to swing the leg through too hard to compensate. It is almost a reflex action.
There has been comment along the lines of Oliver is an average kick and yes he is . They have not been able to fix it either but we did not draft Tsatas to be Clayton Oliver. If we where looking for a Clayton Oliver we would have drafted Ginbey.
If he has the ability to adopt the mindset and be an inside guy who tackles and wins the footy and if he keeps building the body then I think he will be an excellent inside midfielder but that makes Hobbs obsolete .
Oh no I always wondered if there was a way to do it properlyThis. The kid has to be given time & we have to have patience.
Some of you on here wouldn't know how to take a shit properly you're that impatient....
Patience is overrated. Shit or get off the pot.Oh no I always wondered if there was a way to do it properly
I’m with you.Patience is overrated. Shit or get off the pot.
He is doing well to get that on his footI watched the Port v Ess game and thought whilst he hasn't got the greatest kicking action, he did manage to nail a few though. I'm no expert but I saw this picture on blitz showing his horizontal ball drop near his neckline.

Hopefully David Rath can fix it.
Is it deep fake or cheap fake?
Yeah . Scott really did ask them to pick a bloke who has kicking issues and no defense after being in the Job for **** all time.
All he did was ask for a midfielder with outside speed . Blame RFK . He was the one who pushed for Tsatas.
Total fakeIs it deep fake or cheap fake?
and a throw away line by a man, somewhat in the know is now being paraded around as facts.Cal mentioned on gettable that oppo clubs will be enquiring about Tsatas given he can’t break into the team.
Unknown whether we’ll listen to offers.

Did you hear the podcast? He was speculating, it wasn’t presented as fact.I’m with Yoda a bit on this one
Part of that trade bait industry is based on insider hints
The other half is pure speculation
Both are kind of presented in the same way
Time to say "Tsee jah later"?Get it done Dodo
I stand by my point, I was a throw away line. I have seen two media (both professional and amateur, sorry ZeroHangar) present this as an almost fact.I have no idea how you got to here from what I posted.
It was framed as an (very reasonable) assumption, not a fact. I think your rage is misplaced. Take it out on Sam McClure or Caroline Wilson
No. He will be feeding what a player manager or another club has said. That is the game.and a throw away line by a man, somewhat in the know is now being paraded around as facts.

I haven’t watched much of the Saints this year. Phillipou sounds like Hird mk2
Then Tsatas’s thighs get even bigger and that turns out to solve his kicking issues and we’ve just traded JuddtempelliGood Callum , plant that seed. Now we just hope he can't get a game before years end so his kicking isn't shown on live tv, then bang, we grab our first rounder back. No harm no foul
