Isaac Heeney

Isaac Heeney is a crowd favourite and one of the best young players in the competition. The QBE Sydney Swans Academy graduate won the 2018 AFL Mark of the Year award, was selected in the AFL Players’ Association’s 22Under22 team in two of his eligible four years and played his 100th senior game in 2019. Heeney can be used in the midfield, forward line – where he booted four goals in star teammate Lance Franklin’s absence in Round 20 last year – or as a loose man in defence.

Isaac Heeney
DOB: 05 May 1996
DEBUT: 2015
DRAFT: #18, 2014 National Draft
RECRUITED FROM: Cardiff (NSW)

Brownlow predictor has Heeney getting no votes in rounds 13 & 14…

Round 13 - 26 disposals, 2.2 (Gulden only had more)

Round 14 - 29 & 2 - obviously would be 2nd to Amarteys bag of 9 and competing with gulden and Grundy who had good games, but Heeney arguably had the most impact.

Taking the absolute piss if he doesn’t get votes in either of those games

Just win the next 9 games and Chad, Isaac and Errol can share the 54 votes available

This is where I don't get the "stealing the votes" comment, there's plenty of votes to go around.

100% its would be a different scenario if we were like 10-4 and just ahead of the comp but we are 13-1 and effectively i believe have taken 76 out of a possible 84 votes. Give the big 3 a split of 22/18/16 thats still 20 votes to go to Grundy, Rowbottom, Amartey, Papley, Hayward etc

3 Brownlow votes incoming today. His type of game. Watch how clean he is through the middle

jinxed him

Didn't handle the close attention as well as normal today.

Thought he still worked hard and pressured well.

I bumped him outside Tramways the day he debuted. Has hardly changed a bit. Hope he makes 300. Definitely possible.

Doubt it. Don't think his body gets him much past 250.

Unfortunately for heeney and errol they are competing against themselves for the brownlow. Raffling votes amongst the 3 is going to make it very hard.

They will have a MASSIVE tally between the 3 of them but likely won't be enough to compete with naicos who only really has himself
… only really has himself, AND those clowns in flouro who probably ask for his autograph before every game!

I don't think that I am that biased that I can excuse Heeney hitting someone in the head and expecting him to be let off.

However, I have seen the alleged incident numerous times and contact seems innocuous to me. He was not facing the player at all during the alleged contact. The contact seems nothing at all. The player was grappling at Heeney and he was attempting to break any contact. But Heeney did not swing violently at the player. It was innocuous to the extent that I still have not seen any contact that would hurt anything.

If there was contact I believe the player with alleged injuries contributed to the contact by putting his head in harms way. Heeney connot be responsible for players putting themselves in danger.

I still have yet to see substantial contact from Heeney on the player.
