I really like that about him.
Just had a look now, Seanon averages for Libby (45.9%) and Clarry (47%) see him kick much more than those out and out inside mids. Jack Viney is a better comparison maybe and he goes at about 50% kicks to handballs so maybe it is an anomaly.

I like him kicking though for some reason.

Those guys are just about as in and under first possession in a clearance chain as it gets

Since going into the same role/position his disp are 54.7% kicks

Love this guy. His kicking doesn't look amazing to the eye and is often a bit chaotic looking (granted he's often kicking under extreme pressure) but seem to have great impact and often lead to scoring opportunities. If I remember correctly at one point this season he was #1 in the comp for score involvements. I'm no student of the game but I'm assuming it's his decision-making with ball in hand that makes him so effective?

I reckon he's taken Shiel's spot in the middle. I think going forward it will be Merrett, Parish and Caldwell as our first choice starting 3.
Just a really well balanced midfielder that works hard both ways. Does everything at a pretty good level.

I don't care where he plays. He contributes just as much in the forward line as in the midfield when he's in the right frame of mind.

What I'd like to see is consistency... he had a game like this a month or two ago and then nothing again for a while - probably from too much midfield responsibility. We're really only getting glimpses.

He is improving. Occasionally still labours a jog when he should chase but it’s not Zaka-level and he’s a good contributor in general.

bit of rose tinted memories, when i still lived in bendigo i played a few games of football with calders. now, i don't remember too much from them because they were probably a decade and a bit old but he was playing up from the age group below but **** he could play. i similarly recall seeing fergus greene (from bendigo too) whooping my older brother.

when he came to the club at the end of 2021 the name was familiar but i couldn't place it until i had a look through my team photos that i had in a long unused filing cabinet, i'd try and find it but i'm pretty sure i threw 'em all out last year while organising it.

Just wondering if he is feeling the effects of a long season. There where a few contests I thought was a bit selective at attacking in the way he normally does. He is not a big bloke so going in flat out is going to take a toll on him at some stage.
