I can't speak for Houlihan but Robert Ferraro and Rowan Nayna are very good footballers. Better than most running around in A Section. If you don't tag these guys they will tear you apart.
Not sure what all the Scotch hate is about - if you can get decent players, why not get them. They seem to be pretty happy with themselves - so live and let live i say.
mmmmm.......can't see why? Everyone else can.
Balwyn = money
Nayna?
anyway......wondered down to Toorak Park yesterday. Great game. Hard slog. Not high scoring but entertaining.
The sides playing both of them next week will be happy.

Good summary...I think its time that some actual discussion occurred on this forum apart from the weekly tips.
It may be a bit early for this, but i think its worthwhile looking at the run home and predicting what the top 4 is going to look like and who will get relegated. I think the top 4 is set, with just the places to be determined, whilst Marcellin will definitely get relegated it is just a question of who will join them in Premier B for 2011.
DLS - 10W 2L
Run home: SBMT(A) UB(H) OS(H) OT(SC) OB(H) OM(A)
Predicted Results: WWWWWW
Analysis: The next two weeks are critical, the bogans could prove a tough side to beat at Brindisi St if they gain some players back from injury. But DLS match up well against their "cousin" so they should take the points. Will be a cracking match against the blues the following week, but at home they should prove too strong. After that DLS have an easy run home which should build some real confidence going into the finals.
Predicted Finish: 1st (16W 2L)
COLL - 10W 2L
Run home: OM(H) OS(A) SBMT(SC) UB(H) OT(H) MAR(A)
Predicted Results: WWWLWW
Analysis: A great run home for the lions. Would have been really pleased with their win against Xavs last week which was needed following after getting smashed by the blues and dees only a couple of weeks earlier. With much needed confidence restored, the lions will be pressing for the double double chance. The only blip I can see on the radar is their match against UB. Although it will be played at the Trott, I dont think a team can turn the tables are losing by 100+ earlier in the season, but I hope to be proven wrong!
Predicted Finish: 2nd (15W 3L)
OX - 9W 3L
Run home: OT(A) SBMT(H) UB(SC) OM(A) OS(H) OB(A)
Predicted Results: WWLWWW
Analysis: It goes without saying that the two danger teams for xavs will be SBMT and UB. After finding their form leading up to the midway part of the season, xavs have lost their way. Could have dropped a game at home to De La and lost to the collegians at home the following week. Their match against the blues at headquarters shapes to be the match of the season, but i think UB will just hold sway. The xavs will make finals and we all know that is when they really come out to play.
Predicted Finish: 3rd (14W 4L)
UB - 8W 4L
Run home: OB(H) DLS(SC) OX(SC) COLL(A) MAR(H) OS(A)
Predicted Results: WLWWWW
Analysis: Easily the toughest run home of all the top 4 sides, facing the top 3 in consecutive weeks. The blues have really come on since the start of the season as is expected from a uni side. The key for the blues will be if they can pinch a win from either De La or xavs as this will give them confidence for collegians and the finals. If they can manage to win every game from here, they will surely overtake xavs on percentage, but depending on results they may still miss the double chance. There is no doubt that they will see finals action, but my main doubt is their ability to when when the heat is on and secure a flag, something which they have not achieved regularly enough given the talent of the years.
Predicted Finish: 4th (13W 5L)
As always, there will surely be plenty of upsets during the remainder of the season and I cant wait to see how it unfolds. My money is on the tonners to join the eagles in Premier B. But if they can continue to improve as they have in the last month, they may just be a sneaky chance of pinching a couple of wins and knocking the T's down instead.
What did the Bigfooty faithful make of Shura Taft's performance on Tuesday night in the E.J Whitten's Legends game?
I personally was hoping he would turn it on as he is an outstanding player on his day. I think Shannon Noll was tagging him!
what he saidAfter a 2 week ban only matched in absurdity by Bakers 9 week suspension, I am ready to resume my run of 5/5 correct tips.
SBMT v DLS - De La have a great record against the bogans and I cant see this trend changing. DLS by 41 pts
OT v OX - Xavs to bounce back after a disappointing loss to the lions. The pristine playing surface at Marles is sure to suit the visitors. Xavs by 78 pts
COLL v OM - The lions will be stoked with their win last week which re-ignited their stalling chances of double chance. Will make sure they dont let it slip. COLL by 32 pts
UB v OB - The tonners' woes are sure to continue, cant see them even making a contest of this one. UB by 84 pts
MAR v OS - After all the talk about OS in the last few weeks, a big win here will ensure that they are in Premier A for 2011. OS by 59 pts
It seems like a very straight forward round with few upsets on the cards. The only upsets I can see brewing are the eagles to make it two in a row over scotch (some may not consider this an upset) and possibly OMs to knock over the lions who might be a bit stiff and sore from their encounter with xavs last week.
