Naughty... theres a great word.... piece of scum more like is Webster, hope he enjoys his stint on the sidelines. 10 weeks would be nice, but we will probably have to settle for 6
Give it a spell. He's going to be rubbed out for a long time, this need to announce your own moral superiority as well as that of your own players and supporters is so boring. **** off.

Pretty rich coming from a St Kilda supporter mate....I dare say North Melbourne has had a lot more success over the years than St Kilda.

You are an irrelevant club my friend.
Now the racist club knuckledraggers have joined the party.
Where are the druggie supporters?

Simpkin hit Hill in the head first. He learnt a lesson about being a cheap shot scumbag. **** around and find out. It was over the top but he learnt a life lesson.

The way the media and North supporters are acting Jimmy aswell have hit Simpkin in the head with hammer and then taken his broken body and slammed it in the gate over and over.

YES what Webster did was naughty we know this.
YES he is going to have a very late start to the season
YES his family needs to grow up.

But watch you same oppo supporter hypocrites defend your players when a player from your team I will almost guarantee will do a similar thing this year.
JWeb has absolutely done the wrong thing - a brain fade & he will have to face the consequences. I guess 6 weeks given the current environment. 2 weeks more than SPP. Anything more is excessive though who knows (just ask Stevie Baker how it can work!).

How though Kosi Pickett got 2 weeks suspension less than a year ago for launching himself like a missile at Bailey Smith is just beyond comprehension when JWeb will get probably 6 (or more!). Maynard I could at least see there was some (small!) doubt.

AFL - as I’ve said before, a big boys club. No doubt we are trying to do some back room deal now but we are the Saints not Collingwood!

Ps just maybe if Pickett had got 4-6 weeks which he deserved plus Maynard cleared then maybe the players would have got the message crystal clear - Pickett 2 weeks & JWeb 6 + some 10 months later just does not compute!

This is a fantastic pre season warm up for this board.
Obviously play a VFL board like the wife bathers from Norf isn't the real thing, with them sending their rookies over for a contest is not ideal, but I have been very impressed with our posters early season form.
Has been a good preseason for us here, dominating the gimps from lolnorf is a great hone skilling exercise.

If I were you, I would rethink that post. CTE is not in any way a laughing matter.

In my view CTE poses a huge threat to our game.

Just this week we have seen Angus Brayshaw retiring due to the damage he has suffered from a number of concussions. You should be well aware that last year Paddy McCartin, who had so much ability, but was never able to properly display it due to his concussion issues, was forced to retire. Others forced out of the game recently through concussion include Paul Seedsman, Marcus Adams, Max Lynch, Liam Picken and of course, Shane Tuck's suicide is linked to brain injury from too many concussions.

This is the third significant head injury that Jy Simpkin has copped in the last 12 months and I suspect that we might now see him sidelined for several weeks. It's not too big a stretch to think that if he cops another one this year, he too might be looking at retirement.

I don't think that Jimmy Webster would have ever imagined that he was going to collect Simpkin in the way he did. I've watched enough of him over the years to not see him as a thug. But unfortunately today he had a monumental brain fade in leaving the ground, turning partially side on and tucking his elbow in to collect Simpkin to the head and with a fair amount of force. From the TV footage there is no question that Jy was quite significantly dazed, if not concussed.

That is exactly the sort of act that the AFL cannot allow to continue in the game and irrespective of Webster's past record, he has to cop a quite significant penalty, in the order of 6 weeks or more. (If for no other reason, bumps of the nature we saw today, have to disappear from the game, because of the fears so many parents have about their children playing the game and in some instances they are encouraging their children to look at playing other non-contact sports.)

There are already some quite significant legal actions against the AFL because of CTE/Concussion damage, and there are likely to be many more in the years ahead.

Leaving aside for just one moment the likelihood that many players already are/will not enjoy the best of health post their AFL careers, which is quite simply a terrible outcome for them, the financial cost to the game of any successful legal actions, may lead the AFL to decide to reduce or even ban some forms of physical contact. You might say that will never happen, but who knows what lies ahead in an increasingly litigious world.
I suggest you go and have that conversation on your own board. That is what it is for.

St Kilda fans, indeed fans in general. are well aware of the implication of concussion in football.

Given the nature of you coach, it is likely that one of your players will be in a similar position in the coming months. I sure you don't want some holier than thou twits trying to tell you what you already know.

The hide an arrogance of this twat lecturing us on CTE when our wellness centre is named after a favourite son after he committed suicide due to CTE.

We lost Paddy to concussion and Koby Stevens to concussion, but some Neanderthal from domestic violence land needs to mansplain it.

Well said. These dickheads should know a bit of footy history before they start preaching to the converted

a club who’s only belief of winning another flag is by nuking their list and crying poor so that the AFL provides repeated handouts.
Blud… arguably one of your greatest players, Nick Riewoldt, was literally a handout… your point?

we all know it is wrong and he will pay the price , but wiping him off for 8 weeks for a brain fade when guys get less for striking is a joke.
yes, but this year AFL is coming down hard on head high hits. if later on in the year a hit like this then only gets 2 weeks. i would agree.
you can't compare 2 years ago, or even 1 year ago to this year.

Some special water in the tanks at North.

By my last count, you are the club who:

- sacked your greatest ever player - because he was smashing his best mates and vice captains wife in the toilet of the home of the greatest shin boner of all time.

- only club to appoint a coach and head * them so bad they decide to transition.

- a club who has spent the past 50 years celebrating thug acts such as websters to the point you have glorified dog s**t footballers. Archer, Ziebell, Micky Martyn, Firrito

- repeatedly “supported” a young players issues with interacting/abusing women in the form of contract extensions until you have to sack him… and then tell him how much he was missed by your female president in the open of Moorabbin yesterday.

- a club who’s only belief of winning another flag is by nuking their list and crying poor so that the AFL provides repeated handouts.

- a club who celebrated the employment of a coach, who now has a truly ****ed up link to systemic racism

But…. Hey by all means. Have a crack at us.

My personal favourite was #2 by the way. That takes something special to achieve.

The point was that we didn't destroy our list, embarras the league with performance, then get multiple picks two years in row instead of doing it fairly all on the back of an ex North employee Laura Kean getting it for them.
You also got pick 3 for an absolute spud.

Your club are a charity case and parasites andam embarrassment to the league, gets gifts for purposely destroying your list. But keep justifying it.

And for your education you ignoramous, Reiwoldt was a no.1 pick for being last the previous year, Kosi was the priority pick.

The ignorance and stupidity of these norf idiots know no bounds.

How is our handout not WITHIN THE RULES?
You went to the afl seeking and requesting assistance packages you fool.

The rules of the early 2000 draft periods were that <5 wins provided you with a priority pick. It was a rule created in 1993.

One is not like the other
