Hearing Robbo and Whateley discuss Ablett's avenues to appeal last night, would be stunned if we don't appeal and very disappointed if he doesn't get off with a lesser (or no) penalty. 328 games with a squeaky-clean record has to count for something and with a 50/50 decision like this suspension it should definitely be enough to weigh in his favour. I honestly was more concerned he'd get done for dropping the knees on that Hawthorn bloke than he would for the "elbow".

The day hawthorn won a flag but was overshadowed by what a geelong player did. Love that game. Have watched it like 30 times over the years.

There is no official word from the club or the AFL that we are challenging but the media is reporting it like it is a foregone conclusion - I imagine people from the club are confirming the appeal with reporters off the record.
