Pick 8 for Saad & future 2nd.

Thats a fair compromise on both sides and is an even deal. Values Saad around pick 16.

Essendon fans don’t want to trade out of next years draft well tough t***ies that’s what it will take for an out of contract HBF.

And to think Dodoro wanted pick 8 + TDK. The guy is a nut job
According to sources carlton won’t have pick 8 after tomorrow. Trading to Collingwood for Stephenson and 16. Saad for 16 is all that’s left if they ask for more we will just draft Saad at 16.

Rumours going around about Stephenson regarding significant recreational activities honestly makes him untouchable.

So hope this isn't the case.

It’s the 7th best player available to anyone. Except for the team that owns the NGA or FS. No one is getting JUH except the dogs.

I get what and why you are saying It. It sounds better to say saad isn’t worth pick 7.
Unfortunately it is factually incorrect and flawed.

You picked kemp with pick 17. You had as much chance of getting Rowell as you did Henry.

Look up kemp. “Drafted with pick 17”. Not drafted with pick 15?
Why is that? Because you are wrong. Carlton have pick 9 best case. If you can’t agree with stating in reality then why discuss anything.

Carlton's pick this year will say drafted to X with pick 9 ;)

Your logic is actually potato.

We have pick 8 thanks to made up AFL rules.

We would be trading pick 8.

If no academy players get selected before pick 8 it is still pick 8.

If an academy player goes before pick 8 you still likely get the same player with pick 8 shuffled back. As the academy player was never really available to the open market.

Kemp was actually the 3rd best player last year but each to their own.

Don’t be surprised if we do something with Pick 8 early and it’s taken out of the equation. As I have said previously next years first is an option as well but again something very good needs to come back.
I actually prefer next year's first over pick 8. Dogs would be more interested in including a future first for Dunkley than pick 8.

Alert! This may frustrate dumb posters!

Fact check:

- carltons pick will be minimum of pick 9. Daniher done and doggies is a lock. Means your pick at best is 9

Worst case 12 (port, sydney and Collingwood academies less likely).

When saying he’s not worth 7 it doesn’t hold weight, you dont have pick 7. Never did. It’s the same as saying he isn’t worth pick 3 which you also don’t have.

Say he is not worth pick 9

- PSD is not a threat to a club with a lower pick than you that has already offered the same money.

If your going to be petty and threaten then please threaten with the national draft pick 9

Please be aware this means you value him at that pick and you look stupid for not accepting pick 9 and a third.
Fact check....he’s out of contract. Your leverage is...well you don’t have any. But you’re suffering from a horrific game theory melt and you’ll pay for it if you don’t wake up. But that’s up to you. I hope you and your club are ok. Buck up little camper.

I’m all good on losing tbh. Just get annoyed at dummies saying pad threat and pick 7 👍

also like winding up a few to get even.

Most reasonable Essendon and Carlton supporters agree that the price is about a late first round pick. That’s more than 23, and less than 8.

The smart move then would be to trade into the late first round with multiple later picks; maybe parcel up pick 27 with a future second rounder.

Would Dodo accept it though?

If there is a deal like this. It should be 8 for collingwood’s first next year and Stephenson. Collingwood want to get rid of their first next year because of daicos.
Sent that pick to Essendon for saad. I’d be surprised if Carlton want Stephenson. I think it’s more likely just pick swaps
8 this year for 16 and next year’s first.
That suits both clubs as Carlton then have 2 first round picks next year

Look all these bluffs Adrian is throwing out will amount to nothing. The trades will all be fair. He’s just anchoring to make sure he gets fair value.
This is pretty much what it amounts to. This whole thread has pretty much descended into each supporter base throwing up a trade that suits their side and then the other side complaining about it being BS and that the trade is only going to be some deal that's favourable to them (and so on and so on).

At the end of the day a deal will get done that probably leaves both sides wanting more.

Saad is a player I love to have on my team as I think his defending is seriously underrated due to his offensive side being very good, so I think Carlton will realise what a good player they've got once he starts playing for them.

Collingwood's 1st (2021) might be considered as more valuable than pick 8 this year due to greater certainty around the draft and a stronger draft class.

Regardless, why would Carlton want to make things easier for Essendon when all they've done is make life hard by demanding a king's ransom for Saad?

Well said. I rate him online one v one defensive duels. Have been very impressed with him. He will be a good addition if we can sort it out. I think we will. Win/win trading is the go these days.

hope these clubs stay calm, stay out of the media, and sort it quickly.

Yeah I think most of it is just that two big rivals don't want to be seen to give the other a "win"

He's the sort of player that is valued highly by his team's supporters and probably goes undervalued by opposition, which may partly explain why so many Essendon fans are expecting overs for him

Not more valuable to collingwood though. Their first next year goes to daicos anyway. It’s 16 this year for saad
Which is fair
