So he has apparently not met with any other clubs and the Dogs are the only ones showing interest. What is going on here?

At a guess our list management team are playing it out like the incompetent amateurs they are appearing to be?

I reckon they were positive that Adam would cave and agree to go to the Suns getting us pick 5 + steak knives in return, but it appears that the bluff has been called.

If this plays out in the way it appears it might then they are reaping what they have sown and it will be a case of good luck signing anyone to any sort of deal going forward, especially players from other clubs.

There still time for a positive outcome for us but it's not looking good right now.

So, if it's the Dogs, what gets it done?

We've been rumoured to be interested in Dale. Also, we want out of next year's first round and into this one (Nick Daicos), while the Dogs have an incentive to do the opposite (Ugle Hagan plus a stronger draft group next year).

So does this get it done?

Carlton's pick 8 (to Ess in the Saad trade, then to WB in the Dunkley trade), Pick 14, Dale to Pies.

Treloar, Collingwood's future first to the Dogs.

That is effectively Treloar for Pick 8 and Dale, because the Pies and Dogs probably have similar finishing positions in 2021.
If it goes down, a lot depends on Essendon. Dogs are going to want more than Treloar for Dunkley, due to a combination of youth and the shenanigans of this trade period. Their current first for our future one probably cancels out to a fair trade. So basically Treloar for whatever Essendon pay for Dunkley minus a fair bit that the Dogs will expect.

What does a medical at another club actually entail?Does it include scans, mris of the players’ hamstrings for example?

Player agents must lick their lips when dealing with us, 900k for Turnoverlore and 600k for Phillips? 550k for Cox? Tyler Brown's probably on 400k lol, no if or buts, heads must roll.

FWIW i'm a big fan of Mason, but he's barely worth half that.

Lol. Your first post is one saying a 20 goal a year ruck-forward, who is best 22 when healthy, is barely worth $225k, aka 1.73% of the salary cap? Come off it

Hardly my first post dude, and yeah sure i may have used a bit of mayo regarding Cox, but he isn't worth anywhere near 550k on what he's shown to date, his good games are very good but his bad games are horrid at this stage of his career.

I know a player that changed clubs last year who went for a medical at another club beore he agreed to his new club, Basically all players have all their medical scans etc on a file which gets sent to the club thats giving them the medical which gets cross checked with the establishment the club uses for the scans. The new clubs doctors and science people analyze them as well as physical tests and psych tests. the entire process takes roughly 4 hours

I am one of the people who think he butchers the ball, but it is now the way we have gone about this whole situation that is terrible and unprofessional. And the fact we just renewed his contract on a massive salary (if that is true) makes it all seem like amateur hour at Collingwood.
Exactly.
Never been a great fan of Treloar but Pies unprofessional is an understatement!

if that is the case then how were Tom Langdons issues not picked up?

This demonstrates that it is not a football decision but a financial one. Frustrating for the football department.

All roads lead to Beams on this.

We recruited him forcing us to backload players like Treloar. And then paid Beams out adding further cap pressure to fit his payout under the cap.

Added to that the confusion Treloar created himself with his proposed living arrangements, his high trade value in a year where the pointy end of the draft is looking promising, his on field weaknesses most notably kicking and goal scoring... his recent history of hamstring injuries....all combined making him the ideal candidate to trade out.

If Beams wasn’t recruited Treloar probably wouldn’t be on a backloaded salary.

The Club butchers list management
Everyone's a loser...

This - thanks to the genius who thought up:

i) getting Beams back
ii) what we were prepared to pay to do that deal

Probably because he injured his knee and tore up his cartilage in 2019 after signing his contract in 2018?

the Injury I believe was first diagnosed a lot earlier before it hit the media. It was only when they did the mri that they realised, it was a disaster. I am not sure of whether it was the lack of cartilage or another aspect. It is basically bone on bone. My understanding was that was the case prior to the injury occurring.

Unless of course that club is the Bumbers. Good luck trying to determine any history when everything's been put through the shreader.
