Are we happy or dissapointed about this? We have been drawing low crowds in this timeslot but doubt it will make a difference in a final..

How could I possibly believe that the VFL would do anything other than give the Melbourne teams the prime time slots.
The VFL have made the Geelong v Fremantle match the finals ticketed match so the crowd isn't too embarrassing. The problem with a Saturday afternoon match in September is that the crowd is flat as a pancake. The Preliminary Final in 2006 had as much atmosphere as a MMC Final. Hopefully things will be better this year.

i'm dissappointed about this. we earnt the right to a prime timeslot and should be given the night game.
i said in another thread that we have sponsors etc that also deserve the national exposure in a the higher viewed time.
it's bollocks, and i fear the crowd numbers will be down because of the timeslot aswell. we usually suffer for sat arov games and the Show starts this week aswell.

depends what you do. but if you choose illness, make sure it's something that you dont have to still pretend to sick with when you're next at work.
and dont be afraid to throw in an "authenticator" sick day either side if you really want to be sure they believe you.
Yeh, given Freo have to travel why wouldn't they play the day game giving them a chance to get home or are there no evening flights to Perth? Plus our game should be the better match and deserves the larger audience.

can anybody tell me how the members pre-sale works? i am a member, as is my sister. i have a group of friends wanting to go, and the way i read it the other day was that i could get up to eight tickets at one time, so long as i had my membership card. now i'm reading it that if i want to buy eight tickets at once, i must have eight membership cards?

The top 2 teams should have the prime time slots. Did you hear Vlad when he was announcing the fixtures for next week end. He only promoted the Hawks V Pies game....if anyone remembered the match between these two teams last year....blah blah blah waffle waffle waffle.

Yes, have the 8 membership numbers with you so you can assign each ticket to a different card. I think that is how it works anyway.
I prefer a day game especially if it's fine, that way we can play to our key forward strengths
When was the last time we played you guys in a final?

I'm personally happy with this time slot - my little bloke plays in his first ever grand final that morning, followed by the crows game. A winning day lets hope!
