Adelaide's decline

If those blokes had any sense of human decency, they would return those golden handshake payments to the AFC, given their undeniable involvement in that infamous camp.

At least Don Pyke seemingly has shown some signs of public contrition/remorse, but none from Campo and ESP Burton, the main instigator of it all.

It doesn't seem fair that the supporters and players of the AFC will suffer for years for the mistakes of the likes of that trio mentioned, who have been paid off handsomely.

No justice really.

Brett Burton is a textbook narcissist. Failed upwards into the football manager role at the Crows, and was so completely out of his depth in every aspect of it that IMO he is more responsible than any one other individual for the mess that they find themselves in today.

And then he had the audacity to sue the club for 'unfair dismissal'. I'm not sure there's ever been a fairer dismissal in the history of employment.

Nicks was poor appointment I haven't seen improvement this year signs or anything.Needs atleast a senior assistant next to him or senior football manager.Still alot of dead wood there.

If GC got 3 priority picks despite having King, Rankine, Lukosius and were getting Rowell anyway. The Crows need about 15. They will get given pick 2 for Crouch even he leaves for 200k a year.

Could this current Adelaide team and season be the worst of the modern era? Is it worse than Melbourne 2013? Carlton 2018?
Don't forget just how shit Port were in 2011. Arguably the least professional and the fattest team of the modern era.

In round 20, we suffered our biggest ever SANFL/AFL loss - 138 points against Collingwood. Hearts were shattered. The very next round we lost to Hawthorn by 160.

Other highlights from the year include Westhoff missing his shot after the siren to hand the Suns their first ever win.

Atleast they were great teams

Yeah, Port were insanely non-competitive that year, albeit they beat Richmond that year quite comfortably!

I guess if Adelaide fans are looking for omens, when the Swans won their only game in 1993 they played Melbourne at home.

Surely they've got to snag one at home at some stage this season, they've been close a couple of times already.

This season is worse than Fitzroy in 96.

And let's not forget, Richmond sent the roy boys into oblivion very nicely by taking all their stars and beating them by 151 points in their last melbourne match.

But doing it to adelaide is far more enjoyable, we liked Fitzroy.
Every football supporter was sad to see Fitzroy's demise. The club deserved more dignity and respect than it received from the AFL.

Move anyone out attached to that 2017 GF, and invest in picks and players who would be a good character around the club.

A lot of the Suns (as an example) improvement can be placed around us bringing in players a few years ago who may not be on field champions but bring with them champion off field attributes like George Horlin Smith and Anthony Miles.

Have the kids grow around these types of players who may not be the most talented, but can provide some guidance to these young blokes.

There has been a few VFL AFL sides that has gone 1-21: North in 1972, Swans in 1993, Fitzroy in 1996 and GWS in 2013. I might be missing a couple. ut those 4 stand out.
Melbourne (1981) = 1-21 (63.5%)
Sydney (1993) = 1-19 (63.3%)
North Melbourne (1972) = 1-21 (62.9%)
GWS (2013) = 1-21 (51.0%)
Fitzroy (1996) = 1-21 (49.5%)

Adelaide are 0-9 (56.7%)
