Adelaide's decline

Don't forget just how sh*t Port were in 2011. Arguably the least professional and the fattest team of the modern era.

In round 20, we suffered our biggest ever SANFL/AFL loss - 138 points against Collingwood. Hearts were shattered. The very next round we lost to Hawthorn by 160.

Other highlights from the year include Westhoff missing his shot after the siren to hand the Suns their first ever win.

The Crows would be copping these types of wallopings most weeks if the quarters were still at 20 minutes. That extra 6,7,8 minutes each quarter would see oppos pile on the scores. They are very lucky we have shortened quarters this year.

This season is worse than Fitzroy in 96.

Because they haven't won yet? Aren't there 8 rounds to go? Fitzroy won their one and only game in 1996 in Round 8 from 22 rounds.

I watched a great deal of Fitzroy in 96. The Adelaide of 2020 would beat the Fitzroy of 1996, 99 times out of 100.

I guess if Adelaide fans are looking for omens, when the Swans won their only game in 1993 they played Melbourne at home.

Surely they've got to snag one at home at some stage this season, they've been close a couple of times already.
As I said, crows could easily got 3 wins already.

Trailed the Dockers 33-32 at 3 quarter time and could of easily over ran us.

Trailed by 16 points vs the saints at Adelaide oval and could of over ran the saints too.

Then last week lost to Essendon by under a goal where they kicked 1 goal and 6 behinds. Could of easily won by 2-4 goals had they kicked better.

The fish rots from the head.

If Chapman really wanted to do the right thing he would resign immediately.

What other Chairman has survived 2 major scandals?

Need to a cleanout off & on field.

Also, we were making some progress until selection yesterday when we brought back in non-performing older players who once again proved they don't give a shit.

Priority should be to play the deadwood in the 2's & play the younger guys as should be in rebuild mode not preservation mode.

Gibbs should be the first one out. Sets a poor example for the young guys.

Fitzroy in 96' didnt even have a set of plastic goal posts.

The kind of wealth adelaide has, the opportunities theyve had, the decisions the footy dept have made, far surpass the ineptness of Fitzroy. Roy boys didn't have a chance. Adelaide have the resources and opportunity that afford the wealthiest of clubs in the competition.

Shorter quarters is the only thing stopping 100 point plus pumpings for Adelaide

And yet still have a percentage barely above 50 after 9 rounds...

North players crumble under pressure skills wise, and today they looked like globetrotters going through the middle of the ground all day. No pressure at all.

Agree to be honest given the rusted on membership and corporate support the crows have its astounding they’re in this situation

The only circumstances that could’ve caused it is continuous decisions against their best interests over several years ala groupthink

Thing people aren’t really realising is next year has potential to be worse
Sloane Tex Lynch Gibbs Smith Talia all arguably in their best team all well past their best and on the wrong end of their careers with nothing to replace them

Is it possible to just reboot a club and start again?

And let's not forget, Richmond sent the roy boys into oblivion very nicely by taking all their stars and beating them by 151 points in their last melbourne match.

But doing it to adelaide is far more enjoyable, we liked Fitzroy.
lets not do revisionist history here and pretend richmond were some incredible force. they were the running joke of the competition since 1983 for a reason

Port in 2011 won three games. Crows in 2020 will be lucky to win one. They've already played and lost to the rest of the bottom 4.

Easy to say sack Nicks now, but who in their right mind would want to take over that club run by clowns who failed clown college ?

Will Riccuito ever man up and admit he and the board royally fudged up ?

Roo? The bloke who selfishly got himself suspended and missed an important qualifying final and picked himself to play in another final when he was completely cooked?

No chance.
