That slingshot rebound thing really became apparent in a 2012 win over Essendon. Been a comfortable strength practically ever since. Had a lot of decent kicks in the backline who knew where to position, and their traditional frenetic 120% work around the ball and stoppages frees up space for when an opponent plodder gets a step and bombs long in hope.I don’t know how underrated this is, but if there is one thing that troubles teams time and time again for years now is Sydney’s defensive structure. I know that West Coast is not playing well at all but that’s also because of how Sydney defend.
For those who know, is there a particular defensive coach that has been with Sydney for years or is this all Longmire?
