Would be a huge choke if Geelong don’t get up for this one

All banter aside, they're flag fancies coming up against an inconsistent mid-table team over which they have a huge edge in age and experience. It's cute that one Geelong fan is making preemptive excuses but they're firm favourites for a reason. We're at close to full strength and definitely not without a good chance, but this would be our best win in years if we get up. Geelong are a damn good side and they flogged us here last year.

pfft it was commentary on the fact that nearly every post was backing Freo as the winner of the match, don't be sensitive

It will go down to the wire. Geelong to barely scrape over the line possibly even an Isaac Smith goal after the siren

Freo’s zippy smalls could trouble Geelong whereas cats zippy forwards have no confidence to hit the scoreboard. Darcy in the argument as best ruckman in the game. Close scrappy game probably. Hopefully cats nous and experience edge it.

Freo have trouble hitting the scoreboard too mate, should be an even match then.

Would be a huge choke if Freo don't win by five goals. Best ruckman in the comp working with a dual Brownlow medallist and lots of young players, playing at home against a decrepit side of oldies.

10/10 for effort in talking your team down, but arent you guys above us on the ladder?

You've also beaten the premiership favs whom we've lost to.

Plus you have a better fwd and midfielders whom are exceptional at getting rewarded for their flopping, where as our midfielders and fwds dont get rewarded.

If Geelong are premiership contenders they should beat us.

Geelong by 15 pts.

Excellent effort at praise with shade there. I think one of your players is the OG diver though 😉

If Freo are a finals side they should beat us at their home ground. Freo by 22.

You will note i said excellent at getting rewarded.
Our OG diver doesnt get rewarded often ( which is why I think its a tactic he needs not to do).

Where as your midfielders and fwds will keep flopping as long as they are getting rewarded, so i understand why they keep doing it.

Tactically- it makes sense as you can retain possesion in a gameplan that revolves around retaining possession?

Yeah no argument from me, they do it because it gets rewarded. I remember an interview a long time ago with Joel Selwood where he said he only did the shrug thing because it worked.....

Cats will win this. Freo a chance but I thought the same last week giving the blues a chance but got blown away.
We just don't have the fire power up forward or mature bodies in the middle to go with them.

To be fair two out of our best 3 forwards are out injured. You have a massive ruck advantage.

We have beaten some good teams but also lost to the crows. This will be a heavy ground off a 5 day break. On paper we should win but it'll be a grind I think.

Shouldnt be too heavy, im sure the ground staff have been draining it since Monday night.

As for our ruck advantage Blicavs is fast so he will try to drag Darcy around.

This is not the statement of a genuine contender. Delicious.

Your window is about to slam shut and you're absolutely shitting bricks over it :tearsofjoy:

yes because the statements of an online forum poster determine the fortunes of a football team.

And even if our window is about to
Slam shut, our current window has been open for about 6 seasons either side of the only one Fremantle has had in its history so I don’t think anyone is going to be ‘shitting bricks’ over it

You should spend more time worrying about when your team's window is going to open up rather than an opposition team's window closing?
Was thinking the same thing :tearsofjoy: it's the window the never truly opens atm. From contender in 2013 to MIA ever since :tearsofjoy:
