If I made a list before the season started of 25 players who I thought could turn their career around this year Tex wouldn't have got a mention. Fair play to him, been phenomenal.

Crows a going to bounce back quicker then alot of people think and jump a few teams well coached now Pyke was a disaster and plenty of kids there.

I think umpiring was bad both ways, but the thing that killed any hope for suns winning was Witts going, cause not only did it mean they were losing hit-outs, their forward structure was screwed. And trainers taking too long to get Witts off the ground also cost them a goal. Crows made the most of it though, and it could've gone either way even if not for the Witts injury.

My understanding Is he is a FW/Mid but every time I watch him his field kicking is okay but not good and his goal kicking is terrible. Every time I see him he can never kick a goal to save his life. Seems an issue for any FWD in the comp but god is he frustrating.

Always felt the suns have a good team just lack a key back to support Collins and a key forward to support King which allows Day or even Burgess after today to play 3rd tall and 2ndruck. And after watching today I fully stand by that issue

Pyke is actually a very good coach. You can see his influence on Sydney who have improved remarkably. While he was at Adelaide though, he inherited one of the worst footy departments of all time and was saddled with a mediocre group of assistants. He fell on his own sword because he's a man of integrity and didn't feel it was right to stay on while everybody around him got sacked.

I think it won't be long before Pyke is a senior coach again. He'd be an upgrade on Buckley or Rutten imo.

I cannot believe how poorly coached the GC are. Whatever Dew said at quarter time to change what they were doing in the first quarter I don't know.
Then in the last quarter I lost count of how many time GC kept going down the line to where O'Brien was after GC lost Witts.
Getting rid of 2 metre Peter must seem like an inspired "Lyons like" decision now that Day and Witts are out!
