ROUND 12 BYES: CARLTON * PORT ADELAIDE * ST KILDA * ESSENDON * GWS * RICHMOND

HERITAGE WEEK

The Sydney Swans will celebrate the club’s proud history during Heritage Week as we prepare to take on Melbourne Demons in Round 12 at the MCG.
As with all Victorian fixtures, the team will wear the famous red-V heritage guernsey worn by South Melbourne dating back to 1932 and made famous by Bloods Legends including Bob Skilton, Peter Bedford, Bob Pratt, Ron Clegg and J.Herbie Matthews.

HALL OF FAME

For the first time in more than 10 years, the Swans Hall of Fame dinner returns to Melbourne on Thursday evening. Four new inductees will be welcomed into the Swans Hall of Fame while a further eight members will be elevated to 'Champions' status. Among the Champions will be four Brownlow medallists and two 2005 premiership heroes.

Expecting Dees to make up for their insipid performance last week. Getting a few fit players back in and most likely Swans missing Buddy.
Dees by 25 pts.

Dees aren't made for those shitty afternoon timeslots IMO, that's for those expansion clubs we don't talk about in Victoria.
Dees are prime time baby, that's what we're built for. I think some players must have be a little bit thrown by the sunlight, or early waking up or something last weekend.
Under lights at the MCG, we'll see different Dees to saturday afternoon's big big shit. But all the significant outs and players like Langdon, Salem, Harmes and others maybe coming back from injury are really big concerns. Swan will have hunting caps on, this is their grand final and I think they'll get up by a couple of goals sadly.

Still, nice to be back where we deserve live and direct on free to air TV!!!

Why is that ???? Was it Freo's last week ?

To be the best you gotta beat the best and everyone knows we're the best.
Reigning premiers thanks Wolfgang, maybe you missed that ????

Clearly.
Swans won't be the best for sometime so I don't think it is the end of the World if they lose to the current best, and no I did not miss the fact Melbourne are the best.

Clearly though you have missed the fact the current best were once the laughing stock of the competition.

So fans of all opposition should be aware if they challenge Melbourne or have the temerity of beating them it is purely because they have played out of their skins and Melbourne were terrible.

Liked you better when you were a Bum Club to be honest.

... Pretty much.
No one is coming close to us when we play well.

Amazed by the lack of support for Sydney across BF, media and tipping sites. They play the sort of game style that can trouble Melbourne, and are well-suited to the wide expanses of the 'G. Yes, Melbourne has some good ins, but there's still four guys coming in off injury layoffs. A lot will depend on whether Melbourne's forwards can return to form and get a hold of Sydney's back six, which have bled a bit of scoring this year.

Think it'll be a close one.

Swans will be up for it but Melbourne just a touch too good in the end.

Expect us to keep it under 3 goals.
